Twisted Ties of Love novel Chapter 165

"Pull over."

After the driver parked the car, Brett opened the door and got out, holding an umbrella.

The rainy night sky was pitch black, and the drizzle fell like silk under the dim streetlights. Kaley was wearing a knee-length skirt, showing off her slender legs. She shivered as the cold air crept up her legs and spread throughout her body.

"What are you doing here?"

Brett's voice cut through the air with an icy chill, matching the wintry gusts outside. Kaley felt a wave of sorrow well up in her eyes. When had Brett transformed into this indifferent person?

The same man who used to hold her hand and offer warmth when she was cold now simply inquired, "What are you doing here?"

"I have something important to tell you," Kaley replied, her voice strained and barely audible. She cleared her throat and mustered the courage to ask, "May I come in?"

Brett cast a glance at the villa. The light was on inside, as usual, but it wasn't left on by Izabella.

With a grunt of acknowledgement, Brett turned and headed towards the door.

Kaley had been squatting under the eaves for so long that her legs were numb. Seeing that Brett had no intention of helping her, she quickly followed him inside, limping in her high heels.

Kaley closed the door, took off her high heels, and expertly took a pair of slippers from the shoe cabinet to put on.

Jennifer had already gone to rest, and there was no one in the living room, making it seem very empty. Brett poured two cups of water and handed one to Kaley as she entered.

"Thanks." Kaley's health wasn't great, and she felt a little dizzy after being out in the cold for hours.

After staying in the warm room for a while, her body warmed up considerably.
