Twisted Ties of Love novel Chapter 175

When someone suddenly changes, it's definitely related to their surroundings and the people they're in contact with. Brett thought about the video Izabella had shown in court, which only Amelia had access to.

It seemed like that doctor had played a big part in egging Izabella on to divorce him.

When everything was done, Brett had no plans to take Izabella to the Light of Hope Hospital anymore, he needed to stop her from meeting people she shouldn't and getting ideas she shouldn't have.

Brett had the driver take them to Crystal Bay Mansions, a well-known wealthy district in R City. Building a home here required not only money but also influence.

It was more like a castle than a villa, featuring French court-style architecture and luxurious interior decorations.

Brett used to live here all the time, and while the large space had its advantages, it also had its drawbacks, like feeling cold and empty, lacking that human touch.

After marrying Izabella, he spent more time at Quiet Forest Estates than at Crystal Bay Mansions, eventually moving there permanently in recent years.

Although no one lived in the mansion, there were always people taking care of and guarding it. The guards were all big and fully armed. Cameras were installed everywhere in the house, except for the bathrooms.

There were also plenty of staff, including a butler, maids, and a chef, all with clearly defined tasks, keeping the villa in perfect order.

The villa at Crystal Bay Mansions even had a dedicated disinfection room with complete medical equipment, so Izabella wouldn't need to go to the hospital.

Brett called the family doctor while still in the car and took Izabella straight to the medical room for an exam upon arrival at Crystal Bay Mansions.

The test results showed a mild concussion and a slight fever, but overall, nothing too serious.

After cleaning and dressing Izabella's wounds, she was sent to the bedroom for an IV.

It was unclear when Izabella would wake up. She seemed to be in extreme pain, her eyes closed but her eyebrows tightly furrowed and tear stains on her face.

Brett stood by the bed, gently wiping the tears from her eyes, and muttered to himself, "Are you really this eager to seek death?"

While Izabella was unconscious, Brett had people clean up the third floor.

The balcony area was surrounded by reinforced glass, allowing for plenty of sunlight.

Brett knew that Izabella had hidden autism, and being trapped in a dark room unable to see the outside for a long time could trigger her symptoms. That's why he designed the balcony like this, where she could not only see outside but also the yard below.

See, he really was good to her.
