He used to really treat Izabella like a normal person, trying to be nice to her, but she didn't appreciate it, always going against him and pushing his limits.
He'd said before that if she insisted on divorcing him, she'd have to pay the price if she failed.
Brett slightly pursed his lips. He always kept his word, and the "price" he mentioned was no joke.
Izabella was just too disobedient, so he had to use the harshest methods to tame her. Whatever method worked best, he'd use it, as long as he could keep her.
After the room was cleaned up, Izabella had finished her IV drip, and Brett carefully carried her to the bed on the third floor via the elevator.
When Izabella woke up the next day, she moved her stiff, aching body and realized her forehead was throbbing.
As she regained consciousness, she glanced around, not knowing where she was. It wasn't the hospital or Quiet Forest Estates.
Her body felt weak after being sick and injured, just turning over made her break out in a cold sweat. She laid on her side until she had some strength to get up.
Looking around, Izabella's face darkened. She clenched her teeth in anger, tasting the metallic taste of blood in her mouth.
Gasping for breath, she was on the edge of breaking down.
"Brett!!!" Izabella gritted her teeth. The sound came from the bottom of her throat as if she was choking on blood.
Although Brett had said before that if she couldn't divorce him, she'd have to pay the price, she really didn't expect him to act so quickly and bring her to a strange place.
She glanced around, the whole room felt like a foreign world.
Izabella wanted to live and had newfound hope for her life, but she didn't want to be forced to endure a living hell!
She couldn't even cry anymore, using her last ounce of strength to get up and go to the bathroom.
She washed her face with cold water, but there was no mirror in the bathroom. Besides the mirror, there was nothing sharp in the room, as if her room was made that way to prevent her from hurting herself.
After washing her face, she returned to the bed.
Her exhausted body felt incredibly heavy, as if just walking a few steps was like climbing a mountain.
Her clothes had been changed, she didn't have her phone, and there were no computers in the room. She had lost all contact with the outside world.
