Twisted Ties of Love novel Chapter 212

Izabella forgot everything except her own name. She didn't remember anything about Brett, those painful sixteen years, or the four years when he had hurt her. She didn't remember marrying Brett, nor did she remember the wounds she had suffered.

When she woke up in the hospital, Brett hugged her and kissed her madly, almost making her faint again.

She, who woke up and couldn't remember anything, was full of insecurity, panicking like a fluffy kitten, ready to fight anyone who came close.

Brett got slapped, but it was just a light touch. Izabella's hand wasn't as powerful as it used to be, not painful at all.

Brett was worried about her hand hurting, so he called the crafty Liam and asked him to make up a story unrelated to their past.

Izabella's amnesia was the best outcome for Brett.

As long as she didn't remember anything, he could act as if nothing had happened, and they could start over.

If Izabella were to never remember, she had to take her medication regularly and avoid any past-related topics.

Her parents, lovers, wounds, and past residences were all triggers for her memory, including her stomach cancer.

Brett decided to hide everything, and Liam's nonsense made his heart ached. How nice would it have been if things were as peaceful as he said?

Unfortunately, beautiful lies could only deceive Izabella, not him. From now on, they would both live in a lie.

Inside the ward, Liam babbled, "Ma'am, don't let your amnesia let you off the hook. During these 100 days you've been in a coma, you've been in and out of the emergency room multiple times, and President Windham almost joined you."

"If you want to leave him, he'll go crazy!"

"Take care of yourself and, if you have any questions, feel free to ask your husband."

Seemingly sensing the burning gaze from outside the door, Izabella looked up, and the shadow that was there just a moment ago disappeared. She wet her dry lips and murmured, "I got it. I'll adapt slowly."

"Do you want me to call President Windham in?"

Izabella hesitated for a moment and then nodded her head in agreement.

When Liam went out, Brett came in, standing at a safe distance as if he worried she was afraid of him, so he watched her from a distance.

Izabella felt a little uncomfortable under his stare, pointing at the chair in front of the bed. "There's a chair for you to sit on, and there's water for you to drink if you're thirsty."

A glimmer of hope flashed in Brett's eyes, like a comet streaking across the dark sky, illuminating the whole world for a moment.

"Do you want water?" Brett asked, his voice was hoarse, revealing his recent fatigue.

Izabella nodded.

Brett quickly fetched Izabella's glass and poured a glass of water, testing the temperature before handing it to her to ensure it wasn't too hot.

As Izabella reached out for the glass, Brett said, "You hurt your hand. Let me feed you."

Hearing the man say he would personally feed her water, Izabella felt uneasy. To her, Brett was a stranger for now.

But thinking about what Liam had said, she opened her mouth. Her mouth was dry, and she drank half a glass of water at once.

"I'm done."

Brett put the glass down and sat down on the chair closest to her.

Izabella still held her marriage certificate in her hand, looking at the handsome and suave man on it, then at Brett, who was indeed the same person.
