Twisted Ties of Love novel Chapter 215

Was J City her hometown? But the place didn't give her the strong feelings as R City, could it be because she had a car accident in R City?

Izabella was not happy about Brett's decision to take her back to J City. As she sat in the first-class cabin, she put on her hat and turned her head to look out of the window, trying to ignore Brett angrily.

Despite losing her memory, Izabella was just as stubborn as before, but now she seemed more lively. Brett fastened her seatbelt and bent over to look at her face, "Still mad?"

Izabella snorted without saying a word.

Brett knew that she felt insecure because of her amnesia, "Don't you want to go home and maybe recall something?"

"I felt quite at ease in R City. I actually wanted you to take me to the accident site, maybe getting a little shock would prompt me to remember something."

"The doctor said you shouldn't be overly stimulated in your current condition, so it could make things worse."

Izabella was silent.

It would take four hours to fly from R City to J City. After being angry for ten minutes, Izabella started to feel sleepy. Brett carefully laid her seat back and asked the flight attendant to bring a blanket for her.

Izabella didn’t hold her grudges so long, after two hours of sleep, she had forgotten her anger. Her face was flushed from sleep as she curiously looked out the window.

"Are we there yet?" Asked Izabella.

"Two more hours. Are you hungry? I told the flight attendant to prepare meals for us." Answered Brett.

Izabella shook her head, "I'm not hungry, I want some juice."

"Okay." Brett called the flight attendant, ordered a glass of juice and a cup of coffee. "Do you want to watch a movie? I'll put one on for you," he said, reaching for the screen.

Izabella quickly stretched out her hand, "I can do it myself, don't fuss over me. I only have amnesia, I'm not disabled."

What's more, she needed to keep moving her hand in order to recover better. The doctor said it was a permanent disability, but Izabella didn't believe in fate. She didn't want to be a cripple who always needed someone to feed her.

Brett didn't listen to her and quickly found a comedy for Izabella.

Izabella pursed her lips and started watching while sipping her juice after the flight attendant brought it. The comedy was quite funny, but she couldn't laugh.

Halfway through the movie, Izabella felt sleepy again. She closed her eyes, leaned towards Brett, and snuggled in his arms.

Brett glanced at her, and he could sense that Izabella was quite different from before. She was more energetic now, but still stubborn. And the way she talked reminded him of that diary.

If he had been treating Izabella well for the years they were together, perhaps they would have reached this point sooner, and she wouldn't have changed from the lively girl in the diary to a gloomy one.

Brett's emotions had been strained these past few months. When Izabella was unconscious, he was afraid she wouldn't wake up. When she woke up, he was afraid she would remember something and leave him.

The bloodshot veins never left his eyes, and he hadn't slept well in a long time, having frequent nightmares whenever he closed his eyes.

He dreamt of Izabella dying on the operating table, dying in his hands, and speaking words of hatred towards him.

With a heart full of fear, exhaustion was already overshadowed. Watching Izabella’s reddish face as she snuggled in his arms, he felt all the exhaustion turned into tenderness.

Before the plane landed, Brett gently stroked Izabella's hair and woke her up. He made her hair messy, like a child who just woke up.

"Your hair is all messed up." Chuckled Brett.
