Normal surgery wouldn't affect one's voice, but if the surgery was more invasive, it might.
Bernard thought for a moment and shook his head. "I don't remember, and there's no record in the files. But I do remember she had a serious illness once."
After the incident with Daphne, Bernard was busy looking for Hera and wasn't concerned with the Killian family.
Hera narrowed her eyes. Identifying someone solely by their voice would be difficult and require effort.
"Maybe we could look for past interviews with Linda and see if we can match the voice," Bernard suggested.
Hera didn't dismiss the idea. She opened her browser and started searching, only to find that the interviews with Linda that she thought existed were nowhere to be found.
"Let me help. It'll go faster." Bernard pulled over a chair.
Hera didn't refuse and moved aside. She let him use the computer while she opened her laptop.
The two of them sat at the same desk, each focused on their own screen.
During this time, Hera stepped out to use the restroom. When she returned, she noticed a bottle of red wine and two glasses on the desk.
Bernard took a sip of wine. "I'm feeling a bit tired. A little wine might wake me up. Would you like some?"
Hera knew she was bad with alcohol and suspected Bernard was doing this on purpose. She declined, "No, thanks. You should go home if you're tired."
She had never heard of drinking wine to stay awake.
"It's fine. I can hold out a bit longer." Bernard hummed.
Hera watched as he deliberately dragged out the time. Before she knew it, it was half past midnight.
