While Xandia spoke, she grabbed Xavier, who was hiding behind Hera. Xandia dragged him away like he was a sack of potatoes despite his struggles.
Hera fell silent.
"Ms. Hera, I'm so sorry to alarm you like this. We'll head back now." Marriott quickly ran after Xandia.
…
Catherine and the others had already gone home by the time Hera reached the clinic. After she got out of the cab, a black Maybach slowly stopped behind her.
"Where did you go to, sweetie?" Bernard rolled down the car windows and asked.
Hera looked at him and used her keys to open the back door of her house. "Are you trying to monitor your landlady's whereabouts?
Bernard laughed. "Please open the gates and allow me to go inside your house, Ms. Landlady."
After making a sound of annoyance, Hera opened the other side of the gate for him.
Then, she returned to the western wing while Bernard drove his car into the courtyard and closed the gates.
When he entered the place, he saw Hera in the kitchen. Her long hair was clipped to the back, and she was cooking something while wearing an apron.
"That smells delicious. Ms. Landlady, you haven't eaten yet. Do you need my help to cook?" Bernard asked her.
"Who gave you the permission to enter the kitchen?" The moment she turned around, she noticed a bouquet of roses in front of her. She frowned slightly. "What are you doing?"
"This is a courting gift, Ms. Hera," Bernard replied.
