The next day was Sunday, which was also the day for Tiffany's prenatal check. Since it was still early, she went to visit Elis.
She was about to enter the room when someone came out. She almost rammed into him.
Tiffany was surprised when she saw who it was. "Mr. Stewart?"
It was both surprising and logical to see Charles here. She'd heard from Elis that he was Nocturne Nightclub's biggest shareholder. Since she worked there, he was considered her superior.
His phone was ringing off the hook. He pointed at it, signaling that he had to answer the call. Tiffany stepped aside to let him pass. Once he was gone, she knocked on the door and entered the room.
Elis was sitting up in bed. There was some color in her face, but her eyes were red. It looked like she'd just cried.
"Are you feeling better?" Tiffany asked as she put the fruits she'd bought on the bedside table.
Elis nodded. "Yeah, much. What are you doing here so early in the morning?"
"I came for a prenatal check." Tiffany paused, then continued, "I'm probably gonna do what you did and get an abortion. I'm a little nervous, though, so I came to ask whether I need to prepare anything.
"Also, will there be any anesthesia? Does it hurt? How much will it cost? Do I need a family member to sign anything on my behalf?"
Elis was taken aback. She glanced at Tiffany's belly. "Did you suddenly decide to do it because of what happened with Brianna?"
Brianna had spread the news of her and William getting back together all over her social media the day before. She'd even included a photo of her pregnancy examination report.
Now, everyone at Atwood University knew William was a scumbag. He'd gotten his ex and current girlfriend pregnant.
The dramatic plot was enough to warrant its own TV show.
Tiffany shook her head. "It has nothing to do with them. I didn't know I was pregnant, so I took medication and had an IV drip in the early days. I thought long and hard about this and decided I had to be responsible for the baby's health."
Elis nodded understandingly. "I get that. But are you sure you've thought things through?"
