"Tiffany," Vincent said. "You'll face a lot of decisions in life, but I only hope you won't make yourself regret any of them."

Tears filled Tiffany's eyes. She placed a hand on the glass and looked at the little lives in the nursery. It was almost as if she could see her baby among them.

To tell the truth, she'd looked forward to meeting her baby. She'd seriously considered having it.

But there were too many uncertainties in life. The more she thought about them, the more afraid she became. She'd eventually lost the courage to have the baby.

"Tiffany…" Vincent stepped closer to her. He wanted to hug her but stopped himself. Instead, he clenched his fists.

Tiffany took a few deep breaths before turning to look at him. "Thanks, Mr. Lewis."

His actions were like a rope that had stopped her from jumping off a cliff. Deep inside, she didn't want to abort the baby. From the moment the doctor had scheduled the surgery, she'd fallen into endless despair and self-blame.

She was much too responsible to do something like that. She truly would've regretted her decision if she'd gone through with the abortion.

Vincent relaxed a little when he saw her seeing sense. "I apologize for the things I said and did last night. Please know that I truly regret it if those things led to you making this decision."

Tiffany shook her head. "Don't say that. I'd probably already be in the surgery theater if not for you. I would've wallowed in regret after the surgery."

Vincent gave her a conflicted look. The fact that William was the father of her child bothered him deeply.

He would've been glad to see her abort it. That way, she would no longer have anything to do with William and wouldn't return to his side in the future.

But he'd dropped everything to rush to the hospital upon learning that she wanted to have an abortion. Why?
