Alex shook Mandy off and looked away, bending down to help Patricia up.
Just as he bent down, Patricia pounced into his arms and began sobbing. On the other hand, Mandy had been thrown to the side by Alex. Her back rammed into the corner of a sink, which made her face pale further.
Tiffany supported her. "Are you alright?"
Mandy did not reply. She looked at the couple hugging each other on the ground, feeling as though her soul had left her body.
Half an hour later, they were all in the police station.
Mandy walked out after finishing her testimony. At the same time, Patricia and Alex walked out together from the opposite door. Just like that, they ran into each other.
With a wide grin on her face, Mandy walked toward them. The terrified Patricia ducked behind Alex, her face noticeably pale.
Alex protected her behind him and stared Mandy down coldly, yelling, "That's enough, Ms. Stewart!"
"Enough?" Mandy was fuming. "This is the first time I've been framed. I won't rest until I make you regret this, Alex!"
"What do you want from me?" Alex glared at her. He no longer looked at her emotionlessly. Hatred filled his eyes.
Seeing that, Mandy was filled with hurt. The worse she felt, the sharper her words became. "I'll give you three days to get out of Chilburg. I won't let the two of you survive here!"
Frowning, Alex said nothing.
Right then, frantic footsteps sounded.
"Mandy!" Charles hurried over. Pushing Alex aside, the first he did was hug Mandy.
Seeing that she was alright, Charles glared at Alex and questioned, "What's wrong with you? Have you lost your mind?"
