Tiffany remained silent.

Mandy had drunk too much and appeared somewhat incoherent. "He's quite ordinary-looking, with an average figure and an ordinary background.

"I asked him to take responsibility just because he touched me. Is that too much to ask for? And yet he rejected me! Who does he think he is to reject me?"

Her voice was loud and filled with emotion, attracting the attention of nearby diners.

Tiffany was scared by her behavior and went to cover her mouth. "Ms. Stewart, please don't speak recklessly!"

After that, Mandy didn't say anything more, but she just kept crying.

Unable to bear seeing her so upset, Tiffany said, "How about… I call Alex?"

Mandy sniffled. "No! Why call him? I don't want to see him!"

Tiffany was speechless.

After a moment, Mandy said again, "Call him then. Tell him I've had too much to drink and ask him to come pick me up. Let's see what he says."

Tiffany dialed Alex's number under Mandy's expectant gaze and put it on speakerphone so that Mandy could hear too.

The phone rang a few times before it was answered, and Alex's voice came through. "Tiffany? Why are you calling me at this hour? Is something wrong?"

"Well, there is something… Um, do you have some time now?"

"I just left the company. What is it?"

"Ms. Stewart has had too much to drink and keeps mentioning you. Could you come and pick her up?"

There was silence on the other end.
