Hearing Abigail's words, Hera grabbed onto Coralie's arm and asked, "Coralie, why don't we go? We haven't seen each other for several years."

When she saw that her mother was keen, Coralie replied, "Then I'll go upstairs and get something first. Wait for me."

As soon Abigail saw this, she said, "What else do you need? You don't need to take anything with you."

Coralie ignored her and went upstairs. She took the black credit card that Skylar had given her. Based on previous experiences, the card should be of great use shortly.

Coralie's grandparents had passed away a while ago.

The only ones left in the family were Hera and her two sisters. Therefore, the only people who attended the family banquet were Hera, Abigail, Vera, their daughters, and sons-in-law.

The family banquet was held in a high-end restaurant located in A City, all for an ostentatious display of their wealth and status.

When Coralie and Hera entered the private room, everyone had already arrived. Apart from Coralie and Hera, everyone else was dressed formally, especially Abigail and Vera's daughters. They obviously spent a lot of time and effort dressing up.

Coralie on the other hand was dressed simply. She was without make up and was wearing a dark-colored down jacket.

"Hera, you're here. Hurry up and sit down. We were waiting for you."

When Vera saw that Coralie and Hera had arrived, she stood up and greeted them.

"Coralie hasn't changed much even after so many years. Unlike us who have been stressed so much by our work, it's been a while since we last wore such casual clothes."

In the past, Coralie's appearance was the most outstanding among the three of them. But she didn't put on any makeup today. As soon as Abigail's daughter, Ginny saw that her complexion was not as good as Coralie and her mother's, she opened her mouth first.

Hearing Ginny's words, Coralie only smirked but did not speak. She found a seat near the door and settled down comfortably.

Ginny wrapped her arms around her husband, Seamus and said with a smile, "Coralie, where's your boyfriend? Didn't he come?"

Everyone knew that Coralie was divorced, so they stopped with their pretense and asked for her boyfriend instead.

"No, he's not around for a few days."

Coralie explained.

Skylar had indeed gone abroad. Although he had just returned, she didn't want him to be put in such an awkward situation.

"Not around? Stop pretending, I don't think you have a boyfriend. I'll have my son-in-law introduce his colleague to you," Vera said. She then turned to look at her son in law, "Jayden, a while ago you said that there's a supervisor in your company, the one who's still single in his forties right? Why don't you introduce him to Coralie?"

Jayden Thomas was Vera's son-in-law. He took a glimpse at Coralie and said, "No, I think not. That supervisor is too old to deserve her."

Coralie was surprised by Jayden's refusal.

Vera added immediately, "He doesn't deserve her? Even though Coralie is beautiful, she's but a divorcee. A divorcee can't be picky about suitors anyway. It's good enough if someone wants to take her in."

"Aunt Vera, you haven't changed at all. You're still so annoying."

Coralie did not disguise her hatred and frankness in front of everyone at the table.

Vera didn't expect for Coralie to rebuke her like this in front of so many people. Instinctively, she retorted, "Coralie, I'm doing this for your own good. I saw that you're still renting a place to stay. Seeing how miserable your life is, I thought I should help you out."

"Mom, Coralie getting married is her own business. You shouldn't stick your head into other people's business."

Vera's daughter, Rachel Zellweger spoke up.

Coralie looked at Rachel. When she saw Rachel darting her an apologetic look, Coralie naturally felt fonder of her.

Ginny and Seamus didn't chime in anymore as they saw that Coralie was not someone to be trifled with.
