"Coralie is taking a bath. Why don't I ask her to call you back after she's done?"

Lisa knew that Skylar definitely would not know who she was, but she still unconsciously talked in a polite manner.

"Shower? All right."

When Skylar hung up the phone, Coralie came out of the bathroom. Lisa sat on the bed and took off her mask. She asked seriously, "Coralie, who are you really?"

In that afternoon, when Houston saw Coralie and wanted to treat her to dinner, Lisa was already puzzled.

Coralie complained about her first.

"I don't know about that. I just want to know if you and Houston knew each other before. Why are you so close?"

Although B City and A City was so far away, Coralie could still smell jealousy.

She giggled playfully and tried to keep him guessing, "Jealous? Are you jealous of an old man?"

"That old man is not the main issue here."

"Alright, it's just a joke. It was because he said that he is my father."

Hearing Skylar's nervous voice, Coralie didn't want to continue breaking a jest.

"Father?"

"Yeah, I was also surprised. He said that I was a child with another woman named Madison Carter. My biological mother died during labour. Apparently, my mother was the best friend of my biological mother's."

"Then what did you say?"

"Of course I chose my current life. He only thought of looking for me now that I've grown up, if I went with him, my mother would die of anger. Besides, if I go with him, I'm going to be just an illegitimate daughter. I won't be treated well there."

Coralie was thinking that she was already miserable enough in the Holland family. If she went to the Zac family, wouldn't the misery be kicked up a notch?
