Coralie Chariott did not expect Yohan Green to be so fast!
It only took him around two or three hours.
Was he afraid that Coralie would know the truth, so he took the initiative to strike first?
Coralie thought of all the things Yohan did before, and realized that what Hera Jean said before might be true.
"Miss, why do you look so pale?"
The old lady looked at Coralie sitting on the ground with a pale face, so she came and checked up on Coralie.
By this time, the old lady had already prepared the dishes and placed two plates on the table.
"I'm fine," Coralie said.
"Come and eat if you're fine."
Listening to the old lady's words, Coralie was about to get up when she heard Wayne's voice from the phone, "Coralie, who are you talking to? What happened? Are you pregnant?"
"It's okay, Wayne. Do you believe in me?"
"I believe in you, but Coralie, eventually you have to tell me what happened, right?"
Wayne was at the verge of desperation.
Coralie's current situation clearly showed that she was in danger.
"It's okay. I'm very likely to disappear for a period of time, but you have to believe that I will be back, so take good care of our mom, okay?"
"Coralie..." He called out.
"Promise me."
"Okay, I promise, but you..."
Before Wayne could finish speaking, Coralie hung up the phone.
Then she turned it off.
She sat on the dining chair and ate with the old lady. Since she was pregnant, Coralie ate a lot, but the old lady didn't mind at all. Although Coralie kept refusing, the old lady still insisted on serving her more dishes and soup.
"Thank you, grandma."
Coralie said. She was really grateful. This old lady was neither her relative nor her friend, but she was willing to help Coralie.
She didn't even doubt her.
"It's okay. I've been eating alone for so many years. I'm always dreaming of a time when someone will be able to accompany me for a meal. You're finally here."
As the old lady spoke, tears welled up in her eyes again.
Coralie looked at the old lady and wished to stay with her for a little longer.
However, her current situation was too dangerous. Yohan's terrifying appearance just now had shown that he was definitely not someone to be trifled with.
If Yohan failed to find her, he was very likely to revisit this most suspicious house.
"Grandma, you're going to live a long life. After I'm done with everything, I'll come to eat with you often, okay?"
That was all she could do.
The old lady certainly knew why she said that, so she replied emotionally, "Good girl, Grandma will wait for you."
After dinner.
Coralie rummaged through her bag and saw the bank card Skylar gave her before. After spending the money on a house and some other stuff, there were still about two million dollars left in the card. Although it was not a hefty sum, it could still help Skyton Corporation for now.
"Grandma, I want to send something."
Coralie meant to ask the old lady if she knew any express delivery service.
However, she didn't expect the old lady to say, "You want to send something? I have the envelopes and stamps. There's a post box at the road junction, they will come to collect the letters once a week."
