"What?" Skylar asked.

"How is it possible to give birth to such a well-behaved child?" Jamie asked.

She stood at the door of Hendric's bedroom and observed him lying down trying to put himself to sleep by shutting his eyes.

"I don't know," Skylar answered.

"Alas, the children that I've seen before are always making a scene. None of them would put themselves to sleep like this," Jamie said.

Jamie closed the door of Hendric's bedroom and returned to the office.

"He's already grown up, so there's no need for me to put him to sleep," Skylar commented.

"Already grown up? He's still very small, alright? Did you bring him along when you went to sign the contract just now?" Jamie asked.

"No, he waited for me outside."

Skylar answered her questions truthfully.

Among the younger generation of the Holland family, he liked Jamie's character the best. She was also one of the few people who liked Coralie. Skylar, however, did not bother much about her.

However, Jamie was sulking when she heard that and said, "Skylar, you took all the trouble to bring Hendric up single-handedly but do you know that Coralie is currently in A city? I just saw that she brought Wayne to buy clothes."

"You know? Then why did you not look for her?" Jamie became more anxious after hearing that Skylar knew about it all along. She continued asking frantically, "Can you tell me what she is doing? Why is she not meeting you and Hendric? What's happening between the both of you?"

As she mentioned before, she found the relationship between both of them odd. Exactly because of this, she had always been curious about the reason behind it all this while.

She finally got hold of this opportunity to question Skylar thoroughly.

"Don't worry about it. You better worry about your future work. You have already graduated for a few months, right? Have you thought about which company to do your internship at? You can also come to Skyton Corporation but you have to start from the bottom."

Skylar straight out interrupted Jamie.

It would take forever for him to explain what had happened between Coralie and him.

Moreover, there was no need for outsiders to know about what had happened between them.

"Skylar!" Jamie objected.

"I won't force you if you don't want to come to Skyton Corporation," Skylar said.

He had already made things clear that if she continued to dwell on this, there was no chance of her getting into Skyton Corporation anymore.

Jamie was stunned by his threat. She suddenly stopped. It was her utmost dream to work at Skyton Corporation. However, it wasn't because of Skyton Corporation's reputation. It was because she knew that Skylar would help her to cover up if she was absent or neglected work due to her side hustle.

"Alright Skylar, I'll stop asking," Jamie said.

She decided to compromise.

Actually, Jamie's interest was to become a trainer for competitive E-sports. She had not stayed idle over the past two years while she was studying abroad. She had been busy coming up with the tactical analysis for one of the high-ranking competitive E-sports. "President Holland," said a man's voice.

Jayson came in at this moment and saw Jamie standing beside Skylar. He held back what he initially wanted to say.

"You go out for a moment," Skylar told Jamie.

He knew that Jayson wanted to discuss Coralie.

He didn't want Jamie to know that he had been sending people to keep an eye on Coralie all this while.

"What's the matter? Why are you being so mysterious?" Jamie asked.

She pouted unhappily but she still walked out of his office obediently.

She went out and tried to eavesdrop on their conversation.

However, the door of the president's office was obviously specially designed. How was it possible that she could eavesdrop so easily?

"Coralie was kidnapped just now," Jayson reported.

Skylar was furious listening to that.

"What happened?"

He stood up and exclaimed loudly.

Even though she was standing outside the room, Jamie could clearly hear Skylar's response.

"I'm not too sure yet for now. The kidnappers took action when Coralie went out with her brother. Our people have been following them," Jayson answered.

"Kidnapped? How many people were kidnapped?" Skylar asked again.

"It was only Coralie and they completely knocked Wayne out. When our people rushed to the scene, they had already driven away," Jayson replied.

"What about Wayne?" Skylar questioned.
