It was Tom who was dragging Coralie along.
"Tom, it's almost time. Do you think Leonardo will come? Will he return it to us?"
Jerry asked worriedly.
"I'm sure he will. His wife is in our hands," Tom answered.
However, he wasn't that confident himself.
Coralie looked back and saw the faces of her kidnappers, Tom and Jerry, for the first time.
They were very different from what she imagined them to look like.
It was obvious that they were brothers. They looked alike but Jerry was skinnier.
Tom was tall and muscular.
Both of them looked young; Tom seemed to be in his late twenties. From their appearance, they looked like any other youngsters out there, with fair and smooth skin. They didn't look like they were from a poor family.
"Who told you my identity? That person wasn't helping but harming you."
Even at this moment, Coralie still wanted to figure out this matter.
She vaguely felt that she might know the person who leaked the information to Tom and Jerry.
"Shut up! We voluntarily kidnapped you, so what does it have to do with that person?" Tom said.
"I advise both of you to leave now. Even if Leonardo comes alone later, there will surely be police around this area. If you are caught, not only would you not be able to face your late father, but your future will also be gone," Coralie said.
She realized that Tom had dragged Jerry into this and at that time, Tom also seemed to have thoughts of pulling out.
She wanted to persuade them to leave because she realized that both of them weren't bad in nature.
"Tom, I think she's right."
"Right? I've told you before that birds of the same feathers flock together. She wants us to leave so that the patent would belong to them," Tom responded.
He still didn't believe Coralie, and moreover, he was unwilling to give up just like this.
"But, what if Leonardo really called the police? I don't think he will just return the patent to us like this," Jerry said.
He was starting to back out at this point.
The sky was getting brighter. Judging from the time, it was around 7 a.m. already.
In the empty ruins, only the sound of cars whistling past could be heard.
Tom dragged Coralie with him. Standing at the edge of the building, she didn't dare to look down.
"Tom, I suddenly feel that I don't want the patent anymore. I feel that no matter what, we will definitely go to jail."
Jerry suddenly blurted out.
He was really afraid and felt regretful of his actions at this moment.
"It's too late to say anything now," Tom said in a weak voice.
Tom was still dragging Coralie.
"It's not too late. Just tie me to the pillar. I'll say that I didn't see anything," Coralie suggested.
She also wanted this incident to end so that she can question Yohan on how he managed his business.
She also wanted to find out what was actually going on.
"Really?"
Jerry asked emotionally.
"Yes, really."
Coralie replied calmly.
"Tom."
Jerry looked at Tom.
Coralie also looked at Tom. His expression changed from being determined to slightly swayed. Obviously, he didn't want to go to jail.
Perhaps, this decision was made out of an impulse.
However, at this very moment...
There were rustling sounds around them all of a sudden.
"Someone is coming!"
Jerry shouted.
Tom quickly dragged Coralie to the edge of the building.
As expected, in less than a few minutes, around eight policemen went up the third floor and surrounded them.
"Tom, they really did call the police!"
Jerry was frightened.
