In her heart, Valerie comforted herself over and over again. "No one knows about that incident, no one knows about that incident."

The incident she referred to was when she ran away after hitting Coralie's father with her car. Ten years had passed in the blink of an eye.

Originally, she thought that the matter had passed and would never resurface again. However, coincidentally, the victim had actually been Coralie's father.

"Valerie, what's wrong with you?"

Lillian saw that Valerie was being unenthusiastic with her help and immediately became unhappy, and it showed on her darkened face.

"Amenda refused to acknowledge me as the Zac family's daughter-in-law because of my leg disability. She didn't agree with the marriage between me and Jasper, so Jasper asked Coralie to persuade his mom."

"Why Coralie?"

Lillian clearly didn't know about the relationship between Coralie and the Zac family.

"Well, you probably don't know that, but Coralie is Houston's child with his mistress. Jasper thought that Coralie was a member of the Zac family too, and he wanted her to talk to Amenda. Valerie whined and sobbed.
