"Auntie, I believe you know that the reason I quit was because of you. That's why I can't find a job in the whole industry. If I get a job in a new field, I would never be able to fulfil the one year promise."

Wayne blurted out bluntly.

Sure enough!

Queenie grinned at once. She did not bother hiding the fact that she played dirty tricks as she said with a smile, "Yes, it was me. However, I only asked for the inspection team to inspect your area. I didn't expect the investigation to reach your leader, hence, I conveniently spread the news. I wanted to test your capabilities too. If you can't even endure such a minor setback, what right do you have to date my daughter?"

"Yes, that's why I chose another job that can bring me glory in a short period of time."

Wayne looked at Queenie.

It was already the end of the year, and a new competitive season was about to begin. As long as Wayne's team performed well, there would be sponsorships and endorsements waiting for them, and his salary would naturally increase.

Wayne was confident about that.

"Work? You call playing games working?"

"Yes, it's a career. Since you've given me a year's time without limiting what industry I have to be in, it's my freedom to do any job I want."

Wayne had already decided to take a job that he liked and could do well in.

Queenie had other plans. She would have offered a different job for Wayne if he and Coralie begged her for it today.

Coralie changed her salutation for Queenie.

"Get out of here, you villain!" Hendric said out of the blue.

A child's view of the world was the purest. As Hendric could see how unjustly Queenie was treating Wayne and Coralie, he got mad. Rushing forward, he grabbed Queenie's hand and tried to pull her out of the door.

"Hendric, be a good boy. She's going to leave right away."

Coralie hoisted Hendric in her arms immediately.

"Of course I'll leave." Queenie felt ashamed that even a child was trying to chase her out. Holding her purse, she walked to the door, and looked at Coralie and Hendric angrily, "Coralie, how dare you raise a child of the Holland family to be so uneducated?!"

Thereupon, Queenie then left angrily.

After Queenie left, Hera walked out of the kitchen and said, "Wayne, I think what that person just said is right. Why don't you consider another job? It doesn't matter if you work a little harder, as long as it's a serious job. I could help you by asking about the job as a security guard in the previous unit. Do you want to give it a shot?"

Hera's thoughts were conventional and old-fashioned. She was the reason Wayne worked in a bank previously, as he did not want her to worry.

To a certain extent, she agreed with Queenie. She also felt that Wayne was fooling around with his current job.

"Mom, give Wayne a chance! Can't you see that Wayne has finally regained his previous luster?"

Although Coralie understood Hera, the fact that she would rather let Wayne be a security guard than let him do what he liked did not sit well with Coralie.

"Coralie, if you were to marry a man who plays games for a living, I would object to it. You told me before that Josephine's husband wasn't working seriously when he played games for a living, why is it different when it comes to your own brother?"

"Mom, it's different." Coralie wanted to defend Wayne, but she found that she did not understand the difference between Wayne's job and Andrew's, so she simply said to Wayne, "You should explain it to Mom."
