"What? Do you remember who that man is?"

Xenia knew that Coralie must have remembered when she muttered those words.

"Well, I met this man in a small company. He worked as a security guard there." Coralie briefly told Xenia about the man. "At that time, the front desk said that this man knew Valerie, but I didn't believe it... I hadn't expected it to actually be true..." Coralie trailed off.

"That's right. Not only do they know each other, but I'm sure that something fishy is going on," Xenia added on..

Xenia and Coralie had thought of the same idea, but Xenia was more direct and voiced out her speculations.

After all, Valerie was the daughter of the Rae family, a wealthy family. However, she was accompanying someone like that man to buy clothes, and even allowing him to take advantage of her. There must be something going on.

However, Coralie felt that it had nothing to do with her.

Valerie and Finley went to pay the bill. Finley questioned, "Just a suit? What about the leather shoes and watch?"

"I'm warning you, don't go too far!"

Valerie replied impatiently. These days, Finley had been threatening to expose Valerie for her wrongdoings, so she had been forced to be patient with him over and over again.

Although Valerie had warned him like this, Finley was not angry or scared. Instead, asked, "Valerie, were those two women your friends? I think they look pretty. Introduce one to me, please?"

Upon hearing Finley's words, Valerie immediately stopped and stared angrily at him. She asked, "Finley, do you know who one of them is?"

"Who is it?"

Finley was still as nonchalant as before.

"It was..." She trailed off.

Valerie had wanted to tell Finley that Coralie was the daughter of the Chariott family. She was the daughter of the man whom Valerie had escaped from justice of law when she knocked him over, but she shut up the moment she opened her mouth.

She knew that she couldn't tell Finley about this. Otherwise, Finley would have another reason to threaten her.

"What is it?" He pressed on.

"One of them is my high school classmate."

Valerie couldn't say anything about Coralie, so she commented on Xenia instead.

"Oh. That's fine then. Introduce her to me so that she'll spend a night with me," Finley said.

"She is the granddaughter of the Lowell family in A City, a wealthy heiress. Do you think she would bother to waste her time with you?" Valerie squinted at Finley and said, "Didn't I just spend money to find a woman for you a few days ago?"

"That wasn't good. How can you compare her to this kind of person? That kind of feeling doesn't feel good," Finley said, and looked at Valerie with greedy eyes, "Do you want me to satisfy you?"

"Get out of my way!" Valerie pushed Finley away in disgust and said, "Don't push my buttons. If you push it too much, I will make sure that you go back into prison again."

"Sure. Once I get in, I'll tell everyone what you asked me to do back then," came Finley's reply.

Finley had nothing to fear. He was using this one reason to threaten Valerie over and over again.

As for Valerie, she had asked Finley to cover up her mistakes, so she couldn't do anything to him.

She helped Finley to buy the clothes and sent him back to the company's dormitory. When she came out, she received a call from Jasper.

"Jasper," she greeted.

"Where are you now?" Jasper asked.

"I..." Valerie had lied to Jasper saying that Finley was her friend's brother, so she could tell him that she had been accompanying Finley to buy clothes. Thus, she replied, "I just went to the shopping mall to buy something."

"Who did you go with?" Jasper continued.

"With friends."

Valerie lied.
