After they left Hendric with Lilian, Coralie was filled with worry.

When she got into the car with Skylar, she asked, "Is it really going to be alright? Your mother forgot to pick up Hendric the last time because she was too busy playing chess."

"It's alright. She's Hendric's grandmother, so she won't go overboard," Skylar answered as he pulled Coralie into his embrace. His thin lips pressed against her ear as he continued, "The rest of the remaining time is just for the two of us."

When Skylar said this, Coralie immediately understood. She lowered her head slightly and said, "So the reason you sacrificed our son was because you already have plans with me."

"How could it be a sacrifice? This is to let my mother know that it's not easy to care for children."

Skylar said gently as he caressed Carolie's hair and set them by her neck.

Skylar, of course, knew that it wasn't easy to take care of a child. He had raised Hendric for a year, so he was someone who had the right to speak.

The car drove all the way to the Golden Town villa.

As soon as they got out of the car, Skylar opened the door by placing his finger on the scanner. Once the door was opened, he pulled Coralie into his arms and kissed her forehead as he pushed the door open.

"Mhm..." She whimpered.

Coralie didn't expect Skylar to 'attack' her before he even entered the house, so she was caught off guard.

However, Skylar didn't care about anything. He closed the door behind his back, and carried her upstairs before he could even change out of his shoes.

He showered her with kisses as he walked.

Coralie was feeling a little dizzy from the man's kisses, but she was still worried about his body. She could not help but say, "Skylar, your legs just recovered. You don't have to carry me. I..." She trailed off.

"You're so frail and yet you're afraid of exhausting me?"

Skylar raised his head to look at the woman in his arms. In a few steps, they reached the second floor. He then threw her onto the bed.

"I'm afraid there will be something wrong with your legs. Then, you'll have to go away and leave me again for a few more months."

Coralie looked at Skylar with worry in her beautiful eyes.

She didn't want to be separated from Skylar anymore. All these years, they had been too hard on each other. They hadn't been together for a very long time, and most of the time, they had been separated for various reasons.

"No, I won't leave you again," he assured. Coralie laid there and felt the man's movements. However, when Skylar was moving around her waist, he suddenly stopped.

"The medicine," he said.

His entire body froze, and he stayed there without moving. He had squeezed the words out of his mouth while gritting his teeth.

"Medicine?" Coralie also came to her senses. She instantly understood what was wrong with Skylar. "Where is the medicine? Where is it? I'll go get it for you!"

Coralie sat up and started to look around.

"Trousers..." Skylar weakly said.

"In your trousers? Okay!" Carolie rushed.

Coralie looked around and saw that his trousers were still lying on the ground and she quickly jumped out of bed. She took out a small medicine case from the pocket of Skylar's trousers, in which there were more than a dozen pills.

"How many do you need?"

Skylar's hand slowly stretched out two fingers from the bedsheet.

"Two pills? Okay."

Coralie took out two pills from the medicine case in a panic, then quickly went downstairs to pour a glass of water. Then, she went back up to help put the two pills into Skylar's mouth.

However, the medicine couldn't work its effects that quickly after all.

After Coralie fed Skylar the medicine, she reached out to hug him. She gently patted Skylar's back and said softly, "Don't be afraid, don't be scared. It won't hurt in a while."

When she was holding Skylar in her arms, she could feel him sweating non- stop. She was already drenched in his sweat just by holding him.

The man's hand, which was holding the sheets, had a little strength, and it looked as if his blood vessels were about to burst out.

She only felt that the man in her arms was trembling, and he couldn't stop shaking violently.

Coralie knew that Skylar must have had endured a lot of pain, so she said, "Skylar, it doesn't matter if you cry out in pain."

"It's okay, it's okay." He shook his head.

Skylar sweated profusely. In just a few minutes, his entire head of hair was stuck to his face and ear, as if he had just taken a shower.
