Having heard Skylar's words, Harvey smiled. "I didn't expect you to know this but we did not spend much."
Harvey was going to ask for Skylar's help that night. Naturally, he could not mention the amount of money that he spent. He wanted Skylar to know that his sincerity was priceless.
Knowing that Harvey was not willing to tell him, Skylar leaned towards Coralie. "What else do you want to eat? Do you want me to order some desserts for you?"
"No, it's okay." Coralie knew that the dishes listed had cost a fortune so she did not want to order anything else.
"Then let's start with these first. We can add more on later."
After that, Harvey handed the tablet over to the waiter.
When the waiter had disappeared down the hallway, Skylar spoke. "Go ahead, what's the matter?”
Since they had put in so much effort to invite them to dinner, they definitely had a request. However, Skylar had a brief guess about what they were going to ask based on the event the day before.
"Well, my mother has always been very traditional and she adores long dresses and high heels. She hopes that her daughter-in-law will be the same as her. Yesterday..."
Harvey gave a brief summary of what happened to Coralie and Skylar.
"Skylar! Please teach us how to deal with an evil mother-in-law!"
Xenia was definitely an expert at flattery.
She looked at Skylar expectantly and called him sweetly.
"Ahem!" Coralie choked on her water, listening to Xenia's sweet voice. "Your attitude changed too fast!"
Xenia had directly called Laura an evil mother-in-law.
Coralie took a glance at Harvey but his face remained unchanged.
"You're older than me so it's not wrong to learn from you, right?" Xenia chuckled. "Skylar, I really can't wear long dresses and high heels, let alone practice ballet. Please teach us how you deal with your mother."
Coralie heard their question and shook her head.
She knew very well that Skylar could not give them any substantive advice as she and Skylar were also having a headache with Lillian.
On the surface, Lillian was calm, but in reality, she hated Coralie. She was a time bomb.
"I can't help you."
Skylar said these words decisively.
"Don't, Skylar. Please help us!"
"Skylar, we are just like brothers. If you have any good ideas, please tell me. I need it for reference."
There had never been any conflict between Harvey and Laura. Now that he was caught in the middle, it was unrealistic for him to be in war with Laura forever.
He believed that this would not solve the problem.
"You really want to know?" Skylar raised his eyebrows.
"Yes!"
Harvey nodded seriously.
"First, you could drag it on. They will not be able to outlive you. Second, just do what I did at the engagement party. Prepare a relationship severance agreement."
That day, Skylar had ordered someone to present his relationship severance agreement. He had gone prepared.
Harvey's expression changed after he heard Skylar.
"I can't believe you came up with this idea as the president of Skyton Corporation."
Harvey shook his head repeatedly.
He thought that Skylar's ideas would stem from the perspective of a businessman. However, Skylar's ideas were no different from those in the cliche soap dramas.
"Because there's nothing we can do about it."
Skylar shrugged.
He really had no way to deal with Lillian. She was his mother, no matter what. What could he do? He could only intimidate her by ending their parent- child relationship.
