"It seems like he went into the wrong ward."

Yoel didn't recognize Coralie at first, but as soon as she looked up, Yoel immediately recognized that she was actually Xenia's friend!

He suddenly regretted speaking to Coralie.

Coralie looked up and saw a woman in a dress walking over. She had on a plain long coat, showing just a little of her calf and a pair of black high heels.

"Valerie's mother?" She thought to herself.

Coralie had seen Amelia a few times before, so she could recognize her at a glance.

She quickly stepped back and tried to cover her face with the laboratory test results.

Amelia walked very quickly and did not pay any attention to anyone along the corridor. She walked past Coralie and went straight into the room where Coralie had previously entered by mistake.

"Is she here to see the lawyer?"

Coralie just stood there, thinking that since Yoel had lost the lawsuit, why did Amelia still come to see him?

She suddenly felt that this was much more complicated than she thought it was.

With a hint of curiosity within her, Coralie moved closer to the door of the ward. It was a perfect distance, so she could hear the conversation going on inside.

In the ward, Amelia saw that Yoel was lying on the bed, all bandaged from head to toe, with his handsome face still swollen. Her heart ached for him.

"Did my husband do it? How could he beat you up?"

Amelia walked closer to Yoel's side. Looking at his current condition, she felt an inexplicable pain in her heart.

"I'm fine," he said.

As Yoel looked at Amelia, he felt both impatient and disgusted towards her. However, when he recalled the promise he had made to Hector the day before, he let these thoughts slide away.

Hector had visited the hospital the day before, with a pile of information from a private detective. He had come to discuss the conditions with Yoel as he partially coerced him to accept the conditions.

Yoel wanted to have nothing to do with this anymore, but Hector had come forward to him with these things.

It was no longer up to him to decide.

"How can you be fine? How could he have hit you so hard?"

Amelia's tone was full of warmth.

Yoel looked at the woman in front of him, who was over 50 years old and still relatively charming. If it was in the past, he would've surely said something pleasant, but as of now, he couldn't utter a single word.

However, he still had to fulfill the promise he had made to Hector.

"Auntie Harington, does your husband have a tendency to be violent? I'm really worried about you if you stay with him like this."

Yoel was blunt and straightforward. He was clear that his only goal was to get Amerlia to divorce Hector.

He decided not to implement the method he had used in the past. This time, he would stand in Amelia's shoes and try to get her to divorce Hector.

"He's..." Amelia sighed deeply when she heard this. Her eyelids drooped as she continued, "He would definitely not use physical violence against me. He has only ever used emotional abuse."

"Emotional abuse?"
