"Mommy! I'm hungry." When Lucille walked to the main hall, Aurora ran over with her little hands waving in the air, and there was still paint on her face.

"Alright, let's go back. Madam Carter should have finished preparing the meal."

Lucille took the opportunity to pick Aurora up and walked into the house, preventing Franklin from looking at her.

Watching her leave, he could not help but think of those times again. He wondered if he was old, but he seemed to be recalling the past a lot.

Lucille passed the main hall with Aurora in her arms, and she greeted Ralph.

When he saw her, he said, "Lucille, stay here for a while. Let Aurora go back first."

"Okay." She put Aurora on the ground and told her, "Go back and let Grandma wash your hands and face first. I'll be back right away, alright?"

"Okay," Aurora nodded. Before she left, she did not forget to greet Ralph, "Goodbye, Master Zane."

After Aurora left, she sat down. Ralph spoke, "Is that Aurora's father?"

"Yes."

Lucille nodded.

She hummed and returned to her room.

When she went back, Aurora's face was almost completely washed clean by Marie. There were still some color marks on her, which made her face look somewhat orange.

"Mommy, who was that uncle just now?"

Aurora wiped her little hands and face as she strode over to ask her.

"He's someone that I used to know."

Lucille brushed the topic over. She had never told Aurora about her father. Growing up in the art academy, she was always surrounded by her friends. No one had ever mentioned anything about Aurora's father, so she knew that she would not think about it.

However, just as her words fell, Aurora pouted and said unhappily, "Oh... I thought he's my father."

"He's not your father."

Lucille had never expected her to ask about her father.

She could not help but look up to stare at Marie. Could she have slipped when they talked?

Marie looked up at her and shook her head inexplicably, indicating that she was not the one who revealed it.

"Come on, let's eat."
