Your Guise Is Slipping, Miss Pearl Novel novel Chapter 410

Chapter 410

Pearl returned to Enswood with Richard.

Meanwhile, Ezra was forced to post a statement on his social media account due to the significant blow to his family’s business. In the statement, he promised not to interfere in Pearl’s marriage and to stop suppressing her company.

As a result, Pearl was freed from his control. Her fans were satisfied with these developments, and they agreed to case their criticism of the Jordans.

Pearl, feeling relieved, lounged on the sofa and casually posted a short video expressing her forgiveness of Ezra. Afterward, she tossed her phone aside and snuggled into Richard’s arms. Little did she know that he was having a video conference.

Richard cleared his throat Pearl was then stunned when she realized what was happening, while the people across the screen had similar reactions.

She quickly retreated from the awkward situation. At the same time, her phone chimed with a new message. Upon picking up her phone, she saw a text from Blake.

[There’s something I didn’t tell you, Pearl. Can you meet me at the cafe?]

Shocked, Pearl informed Richard about the message and then headed downstairs. However, as she reached the garage, an eerie feeling overcame her, and suddenly, someone grabbed her wrist. Before she could react, a cloth soaked in a pungent scent was placed over her nose and mouth, causing her to lose consciousness.

“Sir, she’s out,” the person said with relief, turning to the man beside him.

“Mm, well done.” Raymond sneered. “Take her to my villa.”

“Yes, sir.”

When Pearl regained consciousness, she found herself securely tied to a bed. Raymond sat nearby, observing her silently. His cold and intense gaze seemed to relish the sight before him.

“It’s been a while, Pearl,” he said.

Pearl clenched her fists but maintained her composure. “I didn’t expect this side of you, Raymond. Are you angry because I refused to marry you?”

“How can you joke at a time like this, Pearl? I brought you here because I need your help.” Raymond wore his usual smile, tinged with a hint of wickedness.

Pearl cursed inwardly but chose not to provoke him. “What kind of help do you

need?”

“You know about my first love, right? Blake probably told you.”

“She passed away a long time ago, didn’t she?” Pearl’s eyes turned cold.

“Yeah, logically speaking, she’s no longer alive.” Raymond’s gaze drifted into the distance as he continued, “Let me tell you a story”

Pearl had no interest in hearing his story and cut to the chase. “Just tell me what you want from me.”

“Listen to me. Maybe you’ll die happier that way.”

Raymond’s words sent shivers down Pearl’s spine. ‘Die happier? What a lunatic!’

“She was an exceptional girl, much like you-confident, charming, and bright. But she wasn’t as manipulative as you. Unfortunately, she suffers from a rare condition called Death’s Euphoria, and her blood type is unique. I’ve struggled to find a suitable donor for her, and the treatments can only sustain her life for so long ”
