Your Guise Is Slipping, Miss Pearl Novel novel Chapter 823

It was late, and if James dropped Esther home now, it might give off the wrong impression. To establish a good rapport with his future in-laws, James devised a plan and decided to let Esther stay at his place for the night.

When James arrived home, Esther was leaning over the side of the bed, still throwing up. Not only were his sheets soiled, but there was also vomit all over the carpet and Esther herself.

James's tolerance for messiness reached its limit. He donned gloves and a mask, then lifted her up and placed her in the bathtub before turning on the shower.

Despite being inebriated, Esther woke up immediately upon getting drenched. Startled to find herself in the bathtub with a masked man, she screamed loudly. "Ahhhh!!!"

James controlled his anger. "Behave yourself, Esther!"

Esther, easily frightened, fell silent.

As her white dress became soaked, her figure became more apparent, including what she was wearing underneath. Esther was on the verge of tears when she asked, "Can I do it myself?"

Struggling to control his racing heart, James took a deep breath, then left the bathroom.

While Esther cleaned herself, James sat on the bed, attempting to clear his mind. He rarely felt drawn to women, but seeing Esther trembling in the bathtub tempted him. However, he quickly reminded himself of her young age and resolved to maintain his composure.

Just then, he heard a text notification. It wasn't his phone but Esther's. Despite knowing he shouldn't snoop, curiosity compelled him to check it.

The text was from someone saved as 'Pig head', simply asking, [Where are you?]

With a dangerous glint in his eyes, James realized who it was. He picked up Esther's phone and managed to unlock her phone without much effort. He had managed to guess it because knowing Esther, she would surely use her birthday as her password.

He went straight to the text and replied, [A friend's place.]

A call came in a second later.

Answering the call by the window, James's voice was low as he spoke into the night. "Hello?"

Mobius sounded distraught upon hearing a man's voice. "Who are you? Where's Esther? Why isn't she answering?"

James glanced at the bathroom door, a hint of amusement in his tone. "She's in the shower."

"She wouldn't just say she's at a friend's place. She always tells me which friend. Who are you? What are you doing to her?" Concerned for Esther's safety, Mobius couldn't help but worry as it was nearly midnight and Esther was alone with another man.
