Billy was pierced to the heart with guilt, and he suddenly felt very weepy.
Moriah called him and said,
"Let's go. You did not accompany Sherman when she was pregnant. When she was five months pregnant, she showed the ultrasound images to me. She was full of joy when she told me about the fetus. I asked her if she had told you. She said you were busy and tired, and would soon fall asleep at night. Sometimes you even fall asleep in your study. She didn’t wake you u p for fear of disturbing you. She said that when the baby is born, you may feel fresh and interesting, and then you may be more concerned about the baby and her. But you didn’t wait until then."
Moriah's words made Billy feel even more guilty. His legs were so weak that he could hardly stand, and he said, "Mom, leave me alone..."
Moriah patted him on the back and left.
Billy consorted with Natalie around that time. When he came home to face
Sherman, he was always bored and impatient.
When Sherman said she had something to tell him, he always said he was tired. Then she let him lie down, and she massaged him.
'She has done so much for me. What have I done? Damn you, Billy!’
Billy could hardly walk and did not want to, so he sat on the bench. He buried her head between his legs, and tears poured down his cheeks. He lost Sherman, after all.
The doctor called Natalie and asked her to take the paternity test report, but Natalie could hardly wait to know the result," Please tell me the result now. I will take it i n the afternoon."
The doctor answered, "It doesn’t match with the owner of the hair. Please remember to take it in the afternoon, Ms. Moore."
Natalie was stunned. The phone fell heavily on the ground, like hitting her heart...
She was so agitated that she ran around like a headless chicken in her room.
Not only her heart but her temples were pounding, and even her blood vessels were almost bursting. She grabbed her hair and screamed!
