A Vengeful Bride novel Chapter 51

Edward's words made my whole body cold.

My legs were so weak that I almost fell to the ground.

I tried my best to keep my mind. I glanced at him with anger, raised my eyebrows and said, "You really like joking."

"Ashley, look into my eyes. Tell me, is your child mine or not?" Edward obviously was done with my perfunctory attitude anymore.

Staring at my face with gloomy eyes, he stepped forward, grabbed my shoulder, and said to me coldly.

He grabbed my shoulder so vigorously that I felt a little painful. I couldn't help but frown slightly and said with a serious expression, "Edward, let go of

me.

"Tell me, is this child mine or not?"

"Your paranoia seems to be so serious. We never had sex before the divorce. How could I have your child? Do I need to tell you? I am three months pregnant. I had been pregnant before we divorced. Do you think that this child is yours??"

Edward didn't remember what had happened on the roof that day, and I didn't have the interest to help him recall it.

Obviously, he was shocked by my words. He could not help but take a step back, and then he roared at me sternly with his angry eyes, "Ashely, how dare you f*cking make me be cuckolded!"

"Takes one to know one. How many times had you had an affair?" I looked at Edward coldly and said with no expression.

Edward was so angry and he had a terrifying look on his face. I even suspected that next second he would rush to me, and use his sharp teeth to bite off my neck.

However... he only stared at me coldly for a long time, then he turned around and left.

I looked at his forbidding back. All the strength in my body seemed to be used up at this moment.

I sat on the ground and looked up at the sky, revealing a bitter smile.

"Baby, will you blame mom?"

I didn't tell Edward that my child is his.

Would my baby blame me?

The sky was dark, as if it was going to rain at any time. I struggled to open the door, then I had a shower and fell asleep.

In the middle of the night, it began to rain heavily. The raindrops kept hitting my window, making my whole body tense up.

The sound of the rain was so loud that I couldn't sleep in the middle of the night.

I tossed and turned on the bed, stroking my belly gently. After a long time, I got up, left the room and went out to drink some water.

At this time, there was an intermittent knock at the door. At first, I thought I heard it wrong, so I didn't want to pay attention to it.

But the knock on the door was getting louder and louder, and I couldn't help frowning.

I put down the cup impatiently and walked to the door. From the peephole, I saw a black shadow. He got wet in the rain, leaning against the door and knocking all the time.

I thought that he was a drunkard and was about to leave, but he seemed to feel my sight. When he suddenly raised his head, I saw his face clearly. He was Edward.

Why did Edward come again? After he looked at me angrily in the afternoon, I thought that he has already left. But I didn't expect that he would come again.

What exactly did he want to do?

I was angry and I ignored him.

No matter what Edward wanted to do, it had nothing to do with me.

After what had happened in Paris, I had no more illusions about him, and I was no longer hopeful.

I went back to my room to sleep. Just as I turned off the lights, my cell phone rang untimely at that time.

The noisy phone ringtone made me unable to fall asleep. I pressed the acupoint between my eyebrows to help me relax. The intermittent knocks on the door made me very agitated. Moreover, the ringtone of my cell phone had been ringing here all the time, which made me depressed and irritable to the extreme.

Finally, after the phone rang more than ten times, I couldn't pretend that I didn't hear it.

I turned on the light, got up, and walked to the table. Then I picked up my cell phone and growled angrily, "No matter who you are, don't disturb my sleep at midnight."

"Ashley." After I growled, I heard Edward's low and attractive voice.

I was having a nervous breakdown.
