Edward's crazy and arrogant voice sounded, but I was no longer in the mood to listen.
I leaned against the seat and groaned in pain.
"Ashley, we're about to arrive at the hospital soon. Hold on."
"Alright." I gritted my teeth and said to William weakly.
My belly hurt so much.
While driving, I suddenly felt blood coming out of my vagina.
Could it be... my period was coming?
I covered my belly tightly and held on with my teeth clenched.
There was still a long way to go from here to the downtown. After struggling for a long time, we finally arrived at the hospital.
After arriving at the hospital, William held me and went into the operating room of the hospital. I lay in the operating room, looked at the lights over my head, and slowly closed my eyes.
"Beep beep beep."
"Ashley, you're finally awake. How could something like this happen?" I didn't know how long I slept, but I was already in the hospital's ward when I woke up. The person watching over me was Amy. She stepped forward, lifted my body, and placed a pillow on my back, making me feel more comfortable.
"How could this happen? After I heard that you had an accident, I was really scared. What's going on? How could you and Betty be kidnapped?"
"I don't know. I'm still feeling a little dizzy." I heard Amy's consecutive questions and shook my head with some difficulty.
"Have a good rest then. I'll go back and make you some chicken soup to nourish your health."
I nodded lightly. After she left, I fell asleep again.
I was really giddy and uncomfortable.
When I was in a daze, I felt as if someone was holding me. Feeling a little confused, I slowly opened my eyes and saw Edward who was holding me tightly.
I blinked my eyes and stared at his handsome face for a long time.
When he saw that I had been staring at him, he reached out his hand to rub my cheek and said ambiguously, "You are awake."
I was stimulated by the warmth in his hand. I couldn't help but reach out my hand and push him away.
After being pushed away by me, I thought he would be angry. But he just picked up the lunch box on the table, opened it, poured a bowl of chicken soup, and handed it to me.
"This is the chicken soup that I asked the servants to cook for you. Have a taste." I frowned and looked at Edward coldly for a long time. Then I turned my head and said with no expression, "I don't want to drink it. Take it away."
"Ashley, don't be willful." When Edward saw that I was unwilling to drink the soup, he could not help but say.
I raised my chin haughtily and looked at Edward mockingly for a long time. Finally, I snorted and said, "Edward, I have already said that I don't want to see you."
"Drink some soup." Edward ignored my words and wanted to feed me.
I looked at him with displeasure and slapped his hand away.
The chicken soup in his hand instantly spilled and fell to the ground.
The sound of porcelain shattering was exceptionally clear. I looked at the chicken soup on the ground and didn't say anything. Edward looked very unhappy. His gaze was cold as he said, "Ashley, what exactly do you want to do?"
"Get out."
I looked at him impatiently and felt a dull pain in my belly again.
"You..." Edward's face fell. Just as he was about to grab my hand, I glared at him unhappily. At the door, William's voice sounded.
"Edward, don't go too far. Why don't you accompany your fiancee and disturb Ashley here?" William stepped forward and pushed Edward's hand away. His gaze was ice-cold as he spoke. Edward raised his fist and was about to hit William's face. I grabbed his hand immediately and said coldly, "Edward, what do you want to do?"
"Are you helping him?" Edward stared at me as in disbelief.
After hearing what he said, I couldn't help but sneer, "Should I help you? Don't challenge my patience. I don't want to see you at all."
I endured the slight pain in my belly and said to Edward with a sneer.
Edward stared at me for a long time. Then, he pursed his lips and turned around to leave my ward.
There was still the faint smell of chicken soup in the air. I sat on the bed feebly and gently pressed on my uncomfortable belly.
Seeing me like this, William held me in his arms and said distressedly, "Are you feeling sick? Stomachache?"
"Yes...Maybe I got angry because of Edward. It hurts a little." I grabbed William's arm and breathed uncomfortably.
"I'll call the doctor right away. Don't be afraid." William patted me gently on the arm and turned to call the doctor.
Five minutes later, the doctor came over. After he checked me, he said to me with a very serious face, "Miss Mu, you're pregnant. You must keep a relaxed and happy mood all the time. You'd better not get too angry, otherwise, it's easy to cause miscarriage."
Pregnant? Miscarriage?
What on earth was the doctor talking about? I looked at the doctor blankly and then looked back at William. He just patted the back of my hand, as if he was telling me to calm down.
