After taking a seat, Rodney heard two minor celebrities discussing something behind a partition.
"The man in the blue suit earlier is so good-looking. He's even more handsome than the male celebrities in the entertainment industry. From what I see, his clothes are quite expensive. I wonder which wealthy businessman is he?"
"Oh, him. You joined the industry late, so you might not know about this. He's Rodney Snow.”
"His last name is Snow. Is he that person from the Snow family..."
"Shhh. Keep your voice down. Yes, that's him. But don’t even think of playing up to him. He has been abandoned by the Snow family and even stripped of his inheritance rights."
"Even if he has been stripped of his inheritance rights, he’s still a member of the Snow family. Even crumbs that fall from the hands of those people would be enough to feed us for the rest of our lives. Besides, if w e get him to be our financial backer, we can take advantage of his connection and resources."
"Ha! You are too naive. Even if we get a backer, we should get someone who's kind. He’s not kind at all.
He's a sc*mbag. He cheated on his wife right after she gave birth to his child. He even divorced his ex-wife for a mistress and made his ex-wife leave the marriage with nothing. Not only that, but he also held a grand wedding for that mistress after his divorce. The public said he’s madly in love with that mistress. They've been entangled with each other for more than ten years. Anyone who gets in between them is just a sidekick." 1
"Wow. How could he treat his wife that way? It seems like I won't get any money if I make him my financial backer. Forget it."
Rodney chuckled. He held a glass of wine and took a large sip.
He could not believe that even minor celebrities in the entertainment industry who were desperate for a financial backer were looking down on him.
He was so heartless that he did not even qualify as a backer.
Ha! When did he end up in such a state?
"Young Master Snow, it's been a while. Why are you drinking alone here?"
