Best Revenge: Being My Ex-Boyfriend’s Aunt novel Chapter 2884

Charity’s pretty brows furrowed.

She knew full well the importance Chester attached to her.

However, too many things had happened between the two of them.

“Enough, Mom. You don’t have to worry too much.” Charity said helplessly, “I gave birth to the child to stop you from urging me to get married. And now, I’ve just given birth to the child one month ago, yet you can’t wait for me to get married. Anyhow, I’ve planned not to get married.”

“Alas. You must’ve been influenced by your dad and my affair.”

Larissa sighed and blamed herself for it.

For Charity, that was not the case.

She was just screwed over by Chester, the one who started it all.

After ten minutes or so, that albatross came again. He was like a fly that kept surrounding Cal.

When it was dinner time, Chester touted Larissa’s cooking. “Aunty Larissa, your cooking is amazing. Although it’s not the kind of food hotels serve, it tastes of home. When I was nursing my health overseas, everything else was fine, except that I was not used to the diet there. I didn’t even get to have home-cooked food.”

“If you feel like having it next time, you can come over straight away.” His praise made Larissa grin from ear to ear.

“I don’t think that’s a good idea.”

“It’s fine. We live so near each other. Your house is only next door.” Larissa said, “In my old residence, our neighbors always interact with one another. Now that I’ve moved to Canberra, I still haven’t gotten used to it despite living in a big villa. Areas where rich people live lack kindness. Everyone has their doors shut, and they lead their own lives. It can get quite boring here sometimes too. If it weren’t for Cal, I would’ve gone home long ago.”

“Aunty Larissa, there’s no point living alone. Look. If you stay here, you have your filial daughter and your grandson with you. How wonderful.”

Chester said, “Well, since the courtyard is big, you can grow some vegetables and fruits.”

“I don’t think that’s good. Those flowers look beautiful.”

“Those aren’t useful. The politicians or leaders I know grow their own vegetables at home because it’s healthier.” Chester said, “I’d like to grow some vegetables that I usually eat at the courtyard tomorrow too. Aunty Larissa, do you know how to grow vegetables? Can you teach me?”
