It was late into the night when Charity arrived home.
She went to the nanny’s room to have a look at Cal. After returning to her room, she did not feel sleepy.
It could be due to the pain in her hand or other reasons…
The next day, after having breakfast and rushing to the hospital, Dr. Washington was already preparing to conduct Larissa’s surgery.
Larissa spotted the bandage on Charity’s hand right away. “Oh, how did you hurt your hand?”
“I accidentally grazed it,” Charity explained calmly.
“You’re so careless. How will I be at ease for my surgery?” Larissa nagged a lot. Her words were filled with a mother’s concern for her daughter.
After Dr. Washington administered anesthesia, Larissa was pushed into the operating room.
Dr. Washington went up to Charity apologetically after changing. “I’m sorry that Young Master Jewell was threatened because of my granddaughter yesterday. Don’t worry. I’ll handle this surgery personally and ensure that your mother recovers as soon as possible.”
“Thank you, Dr. Washington.”
Charity knew that residents usually conducted those operations with the guidance of attending physicians. With Dr. Washington performing the surgery, Larissa’s surgery would proceed smoothly.
Catherine and Freya came not long after the surgery started.
