Billionaire ’s Unforgettable First Love novel Chapter 36

Chapter 36 Are You a Woman?

Gwenyth suspected herself of getting heatstroke.

The medical staff examined her blood pressure and the result was normal, but her temperature was a bit high and she was dehydrated. These were indeed some symptoms of heatstroke, yet they weren't serious. The person who contacted them for help sounded distressed. In fact, it was really rare for them to receive a phone call, requesting them to send someone to the hospital just because of mild heatstroke.

"That man insisted on taking you to the hospital," one of the medical staff explained.

Nancy was then carried out of the bathroom. Seeing Edison following behind, she hurriedly exclaimed, "Tell them to stop. I don't need to go to the hospital, I'm fine."

"You fainted just now."

"It's just heatstroke."

"Are you sure?"

"Tell them to stop." Covering her face with both hands, never did Gwenyth experience something so embarrassing in her life before.

Edison gestured for the medical staff to put her onto the bed. When they wanted to carry her to the bed, she turned over and rolled off from the stretcher. Curling up her body into a ball, she covered her face embarrassedly.

"Sir, let her drink more water to rehydrate." After the medical staff finished speaking, they carried the stretcher and prepared to leave.

However, Edison stopped them. "That's it?"

"The room is air-conditioned and the temperature is suitable. Let her have a good rest and she will be fine in a while."

Soon, the ambulance left. Edison went to the kitchen and took a bottle of refrigerated water bottle. When he was back in the bedroom, he saw that Gwenyth was still curling up on the bed covering her face. Ignoring her embarrassment, he handed her the water bottle.

The iced water bottle was placed on the back of her hand, cooling her down. She looked up at him with her face flustered.

"Drink it."

She received the water bottle, hummed along, got up, and drank the water. The weather was scorching hot today, yet she didn't even drink a sip of water.

After drinking a bottle of water, she still felt thirsty. Edison left the bedroom and carried more water bottles to her.

Watching her finish the entire water bottle one after another and lay down on the bed after drinking, he glanced at the bathroom. The bath water hadn't been prepared yet.

He felt that Gwenyth couldn't help him take a bath. She really chose great timing to get heatstroke, didn't she? Now, he wondered if she was faking it.

He walked out silently, and when he came back, he was holding a roll of plastic wrap in his hand.

"Wrap it up for me," ordered Edison as he handed the plastic wrap to Gwenyth. "I'll take a bath by myself, I don't need your help."

As long as you're not fainting again, he thought inwardly.

He held up his plastered hand and let Gwenyth wrap his hand layer by layer with plastic wrap.

"Can I go back to my room?" She blinked at him, with a faint layer of sweat on her forehead.

Edison had no idea if she was really suffering from heatstroke or just pretending, so he didn't make things difficult for her anymore."Go to rest."

Gwenyth jumped off the bed in an instant, picked up the water bottles that were thrown on the bed, and left very quickly like a rabbit.

Seeing her lively reaction, Edison stared down at his plastered hand which was now wrapped in plastic wrap, with his somehow-distorted expression.

Back in the room, Gwenyth lay on the bed for a while, then went to take a shower. After washing off all the sweat and fatigue, she put on the large T-shirt she brought from home, drank some water, and lay on the big, soft bed.

The breezy air from the air conditioner was indeed comfortable, cooling her down while making her much more comfortable from the heatstroke.

Before going to bed, Edison came over to take a peek at Gwenyth. He had a cigarette in his mouth as he gently pushed the door open. As he didn't know if she was asleep or awake, he was very gentle in his movement, afraid to wake her up.

However, he was shocked at the appearance of Nancy, who was lying on the bed without any image while snoring loudly.

"Huh?" Edison halted, wondering that the way he entered wasn't right. So, he exited the room and re-entered, yet the picture he saw was still the same.

The person who was lying on the bed- with her bad sleeping posture and snoring sound looked even worse than the old men. Was she the weak woman who fainted in his arms due to heatstroke an hour ago? he wondered.
