Xavier stood in the corridor outside the patient room and glanced warily at the two lines of guards 

standing there. Their uniform posture and cold demeanor sent a chill down his spine. 

The door to Jasper’s room flung open, followed by the heavy thud of military boots. 

Liam showed up with a stoic expression while adjusting his beret. After years of strict military training, he 

was able to keep a poker face at any time. 

The guards immediately performed a military salute. 

“Let’s go,” Liam calmly ordered his men and whooshed past Xavier. The guards followed suit, and peace 

was restored in the corridor. 

Xavier gaped at Liam’s handsome figure. He was charmed by Liam’s masculine and regal air. Liam’s 

presence made clear to him that some people were born to be special. 

When he was spacing out, Jasper had exited the room with a dark expression and heavy footsteps. 

“Mr. Beckett, don’t push yourself. You’re not in the condition to be discharged!” Xavier advised. He 

wanted to lend Jasper a helping hand, only to be shoved away. 

Jasper insisted, “No. Javier and Sophia will be suspicious of me if I don’t head back to the company. 

They’ll grab the chance to remove me. You cannot let anyone know about my hospitalization and my-” 

He started coughing violently after suppressing the bout of cough during his argument with Liam. 

The hollowness of the cough scared Xavier out of his skin as tears welled up in his eyes. He pleaded, ” 

Your health is more important than the Beckett Group and the presidency.” 

“Don’t worry about it. I will survive. I’ve escaped many near-death experiences and sustained multiple 

injuries, but I’m still kicking.” 

Jasper puffed his chest and took a deep breath. His eyes were burning in rage when he replayed Liam’s 

insult in his mind. 

Liam had described him as a disgrace to the military. 

That was so unfair. 

Alyssa reserved a luxury lounge at KS World Hotel and served a feast for Liam’s farewell dinner. Silas, Cyrus, and Tatiana, who were all working or studying in Solana City, had joined the merry occasion. Every
