Captive Hearts: The Tycoon's Ugly Bride novel Chapter 97

Chapter 97 Get Your Ass Down There

Blanche pursed her soft lips when she heard Louis ask her to join him for dinner. Would Louis be that kind? She wouldn't go over there whether Louis was kind or not.

"You go eat if you have to. I can't eat. I still have to waitress here. I'm working." Blanche rubbed her slender fingers together.

Louis had just been in the private room without even picking up his fork. He really hadn't eaten enough.

"Don't ever mention to me again that you're working here as a waitress. Get your arse up here!" Louis was enraged as soon as he saw Blanche in this uniform. As his wife, when was it Blanche's turn to make tea for someone else?

"Be nice. Why are you telling me to get my ass down here? I'm a person, not an object. Why would I do that? Get your ass down if you want to." Blanche said angrily with a red face.

Blanche hated it in her life when people said such rude words to her. It was so insulting.

Louis narrowed his eyes. He thought, 'How dare she! How dare she tell him to fuck off? Does she know who she's talking to?' However, Louis held back his anger and changed his tone.

"You're afraid to go to dinner with me. Are you scared of me?"

"How can that be? I dared to talk back to that bastard in the private room just now. How could I be scared of you?"

Then, Blanche ran upwards. After running upstairs, she felt so tired that she was panting.

"Did you see that? It's not that I'm afraid to come up here. Rather, I have to go to work now. You go eat by yourself. Is it hard to eat without a beautiful woman like me to keep you company to the point that you can't eat your meal?" Blanche tilted her head to the side and had a naughty look on her face.

Louis narrowed his eyes. He was surprised by Blanche's delicate face. Soon, he calmed down. Then he looked over his shoulder and said coldly, "Follow me."

After walking a few steps, Louis realized there was no movement behind him. Then, he turned around.

Blanche stood still and didn't move. She wasn't even looking in his direction.

"Do you want me to call the restaurant manager and tell him you're my wife?"

His words worked so well that Blanche came running. She didn't know when Erin would be back from travel, so she had to keep hanging in there.

Blanche arrived at the top floor and saw a large al fresco dining room. Then she was so surprised that she gasped. She couldn't help but think that this was the perfect place to eat. It had a great view, and above her was the blue sky and white clouds.

It was so much better than the lavish and lifeless private room Blanche had just been in, and she almost could not breathe in that private room.

"Mrs. Herbart, sit." Sam pulled out the white chair for Blanche and waited for Blanche to take her seat.

"Thanks."

The moment Blanche sat down, she saw the manager of the restaurant walking toward her.

Blanche glanced at her blue professional outfit and felt bad. Then she nervously rubbed her hands. As a waitress, she hadn't been serving food but was sitting here waiting for her food. It would be strange if the manager scolded her harshly.
