Ethan had never properly admitted his feelings for Bella and had only used his actions to show her interest.
However, Bella couldn't be so narcissistic as to reject him outright. So, she could only try her best to avoid him.
The two of them slowly walked back to their neighborhood, but they barely spoke. Bella had never been much of a talker, and Ethan was feeling shy and reserved.
Suddenly, Ethan looked at her apartment building and asked, "Why are the lights in your home turned on? Did you forget to turn them off?"
Bella looked up and was shocked to see the lights on. She was tight on money and would usually try to save up on her living expenses as much as possible, so it was unlikely she'd forgotten.
She rushed back home and took out her keys to open the door. Immediately, the delicious aroma of food wafted over as her stomach growled in hunger.
Dominic, that bastard, was currently relaxing on her couch and using her laptop to watch his show.
Glancing at the busy figure in the kitchen, she didn't even bother to ask how he had entered her house as she went into the kitchen. She was shocked to see Sylvia there.
No wonder the aroma of the food smelled so familiar.
Sylvia gave her a smile. "You're home. Why don't you go wash your hands and prepare for dinner? Mr. Miller called me here to cook for you."
Bella felt a warm feeling in her heart. There was nothing more heartwarming than coming home to a hot meal after a busy day.
She put down her bag in the living room and was about to wash her hands when she noticed that Dominic's expression seemed off. He looked annoyed.
She asked, "Who made you unhappy? Were the women Ian introduced to you last night not pretty enough?"
Dominic looked at her with a wry smile. "Who did you come home with? Do you enjoy the feeling of fooling around with two men?"
