Cara was startled by the earlier commotion and called Dominic without Bella's consent. "Mr. Miller, a woman came and caused a scene at the house. Ms. Jones was really upset, and now, she seems to be in pain…"
Dominic didn't respond and directly hung up the phone.
Cara wasn't sure what his reaction meant and approached Bella cautiously. "Ms. Jones, should we go to the hospital to get things checked out?"
Belle waved her hand. "No, I'll be fine. Cara, please have someone install a surveillance camera at the door. If they dare to return tomorrow, call the police immediately."
Cara hesitated. "But that woman threatened to sue you. Since it's your father, maybe you should pay a bit of money each month to prevent complications."
However, Bella firmly stated, "I won't give them a single cent! Every time I give in, they'll only demand more. They're a bottomless pit! I already gave them 1.5 million. Now, look at how quickly they're back! Do you think this is the kind of problem that can be solved with a small amount?"
Knowing how greedy Simon and Elaine were, it wouldn't be enough to satisfy them even if Bella gave them 50 grand monthly.
Since Cara didn't know the whole story, she remained silent as she didn't want to upset Bella further.
Soon, Dominic arrived. He was still slightly out of breath when he entered the door.
Bella had no idea Cara had phoned him. "Why are you here?"
Without saying anything, he stepped over and carried her in his arms. "We're going to the hospital to get you checked."
Even though she insisted that she was fine, he didn't budge.
As they reached the elevator, she noticed both elevators were still on the top floor. This made her wonder if he had taken the stairs up.
