Defying Fate: The Unstoppable Eileen novel Chapter 347

The sunset had faded into twilight, slowly consuming the city in its dusky embrace.

At that moment, the seductive lady by the window turned her gaze from the man beside her to the entrance, where a young girl had just appeared.

Her eyes darted between the girl and the three influential figures behind her, before she broke the silence, "I know you," she said to Eileen.

Eileen's gaze shifted slightly, her dark eyes meeting the woman's.

The woman ran her fingers through her hair, offering Eileen a fragile smile. "Don't get me wrong, he and I are just friends, nothing more," she said softly.

Eileen let out a light chuckle, lowering her eyes before stepping forward towards the woman.

Egbert furrowed his brows at this.

The two women faced each other, and Eileen raised her right hand.

"Slap!"

A crisp sound echoed as Eileen's hand met the woman's cheek, leaving behind a vivid mark of her fingers.

The woman didn't flinch or seem to care, wearing a look of feigned innocence. "Your girlfriend sure is feisty," she remarked to Egbert with a pout.

Egbert let out a resigned sigh.

Then, in a swift motion, he moved to attack the woman's shoulder.

But she dodged like a serpent, having anticipated his move. She retreated to the window, quickly drawing two guns from her waistband and opening fire on Egbert and Eileen without hesitation.

"Bang, bang, bang, bang!"

Egbert and Eileen scrambled for cover as the sound of gunfire erupted, signaling the start of a chaotic shootout. Snipers hidden across the street began firing, turning the room into a war zone.

Caught off guard, the power brokers and their associates cursed under their breaths as they reached for their weapons to return fire.

Amid the chaos, the woman taunted Egbert, "I knew something was off about you, Silent Wing. You almost had me fooled...but I look forward to our next meeting."

With that, she attempted to jump out the window but was suddenly stopped as Eileen, who had braved the barrage of bullets, grabbed her shoulder.
