Every Breath You Take novel Chapter 80

Jenny and Madrigal were not happy, so was Quarmy. Ever since he found out that Monica had a child with another man, his heart had never been at peace.

He had always thought that Monica's blind date was not a big deal. Now it seemed that she really wanted to find a father for her child, so she chose a person like Evan.

Thinking that Monica's life had almost been ruined, he had been filled with self-blame and hatred. Her current situation was caused by him, and he must find a way to make it up for her.

Because of this idea, he was not in the mood to work for the past few days. After work, he did not go home. Instead, he drove to Monica's place and found that Roland had become a frequent visitor to Monica's house.

Seeing that Roland swaggered in and out of Monica's house and accompanied Coco to have fun, Quarmy couldn't help but feel depressed.

Even a blind man could feel the eagerness in Roland's eyes when he looked at Monica. It was impossible for Monica to not know how Roland felt for her. She allowed Roland to freely go in and out of her home, so she must have feelings for Roland. Quarmy felt both anxious and angry.

How could Monica fall in love with someone so easily? The most important thing was that he had let Noah inform Kim. Why hadn't the Gu family taken action yet?

Quarmy felt terrible in his heart, but there was nothing he could do. He just stayed in Monica's neighborhood everyday, watching Roland send her home. After they had dinner, he would see them go out to have a walk.

They looked happy, while he felt that ten thousand arrows were piercing his heart. He was in so much pain that he wanted to die.

However, he could not leave no matter how painful it was. He had to see Roland leave with his own eyes. Only then could he felt relieved.

He knew that his actions were very laughable. He was now her ex-husband who had made mistakes. He should stay out of Monica's business. Staying here was only hurting himself. He knew everything, but he couldn't control himself.

It was already ten o'clock when he returned home. When he entered, he saw Jenny sitting in the living room with a sullen face. He said tiredly to the servant, "Help me prepare some food. I'll take a shower and come out to eat."

Jenny stopped him when she saw him go upstairs. "Why don't you answer my phone?"

"Didn't I tell you? I'm busy. I don't have time to have dinner with you."

"I asked your secretary. They said that you had nothing important to do today, but you said that you were very busy and didn't even have time for dinner. Why did you lie to me?" Jenny's face darkened.

"Don't you think you care too much?" "You're my son. I have to care about you." Jenny retorted with conviction.

"So I'm your son? I thought I was your pet." Quarmy was in a bad mood and was especially impolite. "Since you want to control me, why don't you use a chain to lock me in the house? You don't have to put in so much effort to keep me under your nose all day."

Jenny was annoyed, but Quarmy ignored her and went upstairs.

Quarmy drove to Monica's neighborhood in a daze. He was surprised to see Coco playing a ball on the lawn.

Seeing Coco, he felt warm. He didn't belong to the kind of person who liked children very much, but when he saw Coco, he felt warm and comfortable. That familiar feeling made him very surprised. He thought that because he loved Monica, so he liked her son.

Coco didn't notice that Quarmy was quietly standing to the side and watching him. He was focused on playing with the ball as he counted, "One, two, three..."

Suddenly, the ball in his hand rolled to one side. Just then a bald guy came over with his son. The child was older than Coco. He picked the ball up and held it in his hand.

Seeing that, Coco said, "Give the ball back to me."

"No!" With the bald guy around, the child was very arrogant. The bald guy saw that his child wouldn't be at a disadvantage, he didn't stop him. He only focused on playing with his phone. "This is my ball, give it back to me quickly!" Coco was anxious.

"I won't give it to you." Seeing Coco stretch out his hand to grab it, the child gave him a nudge, causing him to fall to the ground. Quarmy hurriedly walked over.

Coco didn't cry like ordinary children after he fell to the ground. Instead, he got up and rushed to the child. The child reached out to push him, and then he fell to the ground again. This time Coco got angry. He climbed up and grabbed the child's hand and took a bite.

After that, the child released the ball and burst into tears. The bald guy immediately stopped playing with his mobile phone. Seeing the teeth marks on the hand of his son, the bald guy suddenly got angry. "Son of a b*tch!"

As he spoke, he stretched out his hand to grab Coco. Unexpectedly, his hand was twisted by someone. Quarmy looked at him coldly. "How can you, an adult, bully a child?"

"Let go of me! It hurts so much!" The bald guy shouted because Quarmy exerted quite a bit of strength.

Quarmy loosened his grip and the bald guy was pushed out. He staggered a few steps before regaining his footing. "Is this your child? He bit my son!" The bald guy said with deliberate anger.

"You weren't so angry when your son bullied him just now, were you?" Quarmy sneered.

"Well... my son just pushed your son, but your son bit my son. What if he's infected?" The bald guy argued. "You have to take my son to the hospital with a tetanus injection. You pay for this."

Hearing that, Quarmy got angry, "Get the hell out of here with your son before I get angry! Otherwise, you'll have to take responsibility for the consequences!"

Seeing the coldness in Quarmy's eyes, the bald man couldn't help but shudder. Quarmy didn't look like someone he could provoke. After thinking for a while, he left resentfully with his son.

Quarmy picked up the ball and passed it to Coco. Coco looked at him with some admiration. "Uncle, are you a policeman?"

"No, I'm not."

"If you're not a policeman, why is that bad guy so afraid of you?"

"Because he has done something wrong, and he felt guilty."

"Oh." Coco seemed to be confused. "Uncle, you must be very good at fighting, right? Can you teach me?"

"Why do you want to learn that?"

"If I'm good at fighting, I can protect Mom and Great-uncle from being bullied!" Quarmy's heart ached when he heard this. Just as he was about to speak, he heard Xanjer's voice. "Coco, Coco!"

"Great-uncle called for me. I'm leaving! Uncle, you must remember to teach me in the future!" Before leaving, Coco reminded him.

In the evening, Monica came back. Coco told her what happened during the day. Monica was scared. "Coco, when you go out to play, you must be with your great-uncle. Don't bite others. It's wrong."

"He robbed me and hit me. Mom, I didn't do anything wrong."

"I know. But you are all kids. If he likes you ball, let him play with it for a while."

"But I only have one ball. If I give him mine, Mom has to buy a new one for me. Mom is very tired. I don't want to let Mom spend too much."

Monica sighed. It was all because she was useless. She let Coco feel the economic pressure at such a young age. She secretly vowed in her heart that she would never mention the problem of money in front of Coco. "I have money. If Coco wants anything, I can buy it for you."

"I don't want anything. Can I go to the amusement park again?"

"Okay!" Monica agreed quickly.

Roland was out of town, and Monica was allowed not to go to the company. Taking this opportunity, she decided to take Coco to the amusement park.

Early in the morning, she got up and helped Coco to wash up. Then, she went out with Coco in her arms.

Seeing that Monica and Coco got on a taxi, a black car parked at the gate of the community followed them immediately. Monica was afraid of heights so she couldn't take those thrilling rides with Coco. She only took Coco to play on merry- go- rounds and bumper cars. Coco felt bored after a while. "Mom, I want to play with the one Uncle Wang took me to last time." "I'm afraid of heights, and you can't play with it alone." Monica explained.

"Then let's call Uncle Wang and ask him to come over, shall we?"

"No, Uncle Wang has his own business. He can't play with you all day long."

"But he said that he wanted to be my father. He also said that if I agreed, he would take me to the amusement park every day."

"He was just joking."

"No, Uncle Wang said that he was serious and he would keep his word. He and I made a pinky promise. Mom, call him and ask him to come over."

"I said no!" Monica's face darkened.
