After hanging up the call, Tobias ended the meeting. Everyone, except for Susan, heaved a long sigh of relief.
It was high-intensity and pressure to attend Tobias' meeting. They were like secret agents carrying out a highly stressful, dangerous classified mission.
They hurriedly gathered their belongings and bowed to Tobias before leaving.
Susan was not surprised that Tobias ended the meeting early. After all, Skylar had arrived, and she was the only one who could alter Tobias' work schedule.
“Mr. Ford, should I go downstairs to bring Ms. Jones up?” Susan poured a cup of hot coffee for Tobias.
Tobias initially thought of having Susan meet Skylar downstairs, but he changed his mind. He got up from the couch. “I'll go. You can rearrange my schedule for tomorrow. Since Skylar is here, adjust my morning schedule if you can.”
Susan did not need to look at Tobias' schedule, as she knew it by heart.
“Mr. Ford, you have a golf appointment with Mr. Chadwick tomorrow morning at eight o'clock. Is it too late to inform him of the cancellation or postponement?”
Tobias just remembered that he had scheduled an appointment to play golf with Oscar Chadwick the next day. He came to Newcove this time to cooperate on the Green Space Resort project.
Tobias was not that close to Oscar, but they were not strangers either. Tobias had always admired Oscar's intelligence and ability.
He checked the time and realized it was already very late. Skylar would be left alone in the hotel if he left tomorrow morning at around seven.
Skylar would be able to sleep more soundly when he was with her. After weighing his options, Tobias decided to cancel the appointment for tomorrow morning.
Just when he was about to head downstairs to bring Skylar up, Susan reminded him, “There might be paparazzi taking photos secretly.”
Tobias motioned for Susan to bring Skylar up.
