Find Me In Your Labyrinth novel Chapter 1119

As soon as she finished speaking and attempted to leave the car, Jonathan suddenly tightened his grip on her arm. "So you're just going to lie to me and then bounce off like that?"

Estelle looked back at him, "What do you propose we do?"

"Either you dine with me now, or you let me give you a kiss. Just a peck, and I'll let you go." Jonathan's handsome face was a blur in the dim light, but his eyes seemed to shine even more intensely.

Estelle glanced at him as their eyes met in the shadowy light, biting her lip softly, "You promised to give me time."

"I can keep my hands off you while you're mulling it over, but I need some form of solace. Otherwise, I might not hold out until you see the light." Jonathan's lips curled up slightly, but his tone was nothing short of tenacious.

Estelle remembered him standing in line under the sun to buy her cake and looked up at him, "Just this once."

"Sure!" Jonathan's voice suddenly dropped a few octaves.

He leaned into her and she involuntarily closed her eyes.

She felt him hesitate for a moment before his cool lips met hers. Her body tightened instinctively as Jonathan, gripping her arm, deepened the kiss. Estelle didn't resist, but Jonathan couldn't feel any warmth or dependence from her, not even close to the mutual pleasure they used to share when they first got together.

He knew, she wouldn't trust him easily anymore. But the more he understood this, the more he yearned for her response, the more he wanted to fill the void in his heart.

After a while, the surroundings seemed to darken even more before Jonathan slowly pulled away, suppressing the turmoil in his heart, and chuckled, "That wasn't so terrible, was it?"

He gently caressed her lips with his fingers, his eyes softer than ever, "You should go to Emily's for dinner. She made your favorite dish."

"Okay." Estelle left with downcast eyes, not looking back even after she entered the elevator.

Jonathan watched her leave, sighing softly as he put away his emotions and drove away.
