Find Me In Your Labyrinth novel Chapter 1118

Jonathan cracked a lazy smile, "At first it was too sweet, but then it grew on me. No wonder you're such a sugar addict."

Estelle shrugged nonchalantly, "I started eating sweets because they give me instant energy."

Jonathan looked surprised. He thought her sweet tooth was a result of being deprived of treats as a child by her strict foster parents.

So there were other reasons.

He suddenly remembered her training with Gabriel from the age of six. She must've been the youngest, with less stamina than the others and burning energy faster. That was probably why she relied on sweets like chocolate to quickly replenish her energy.

Gradually, she became dependent on sugary treats.

Jonathan felt a pang of sympathy. He chuckled, "Well, I guess I'll ease up on the restrictions on your sugar intake then."

Estelle finished her macaron and started on a chocolate mille-feuille. Hearing Jonathan's words, she looked a bit peeved. Did she need his permission to eat sweets?

Jonathan smirked, letting out a barely audible sigh, "Every time I set a limit for you, I'm the one who can't stick to it. Like today, I wasn't supposed to buy you ice cream, but I couldn't resist seeing you happy."

Estelle looked out the window, her heart fluttering at his words. She glanced up slightly, looking at the reflection of Jonathan's profile on the car window. His features were handsome, with a smoothly sculpted jawline. Even in an effortless shift of gaze, he exuded captivating charm.

Swallowing her cake, her voice was low, "Since you can't stick to the rules, there's no point in having them."

Jonathan shot a glance at her and chuckled, "In your dreams."

Estelle shrugged and continued eating her cake.

After finishing all the treats, Estelle still wanted more. It was getting dark and she thought about asking Emily to join her for dinner in town.

As she was thinking about where to go for dinner, Jonathan suddenly asked, "How about we go to Yum Yum Bakery tonight? Courtney said she made a new flavored tea she wants us to try."
