Find Me In Your Labyrinth novel Chapter 1134

Emily gave a cold look and shook her head, "I don't get it."

Back in the day, everything about Noreen was handled by Gina, and Elliott was kept in the dark. She never held it against him. They've been tight since they were kids. That's why she was willing to sell the old house to help him buy a new one. Even when Gina used the money she got from selling her out to redo his place, she never complained.

But now, she suddenly felt disappointed in him.

Elliott quickly tried to smooth things over, "Emily, you got it all wrong. I never said anything about you getting involved with Mr. James! You're my sis. I'd never use you like that. I was just worried because you seemed a bit frosty towards Mr. James. He's been good to me, so we should show some gratitude, right?"

Emily's expression softened a bit. She nodded, "I know what to do."

"I wouldn't be where I am today without your help. I know that." Elliott lowered his head.

"Nah, you're overthinking it. I haven't had any connection with Charlie for the past two years. And you're just an employee in one of his subsidiaries. He probably doesn't even recognize you. Your superiors value you because of your performance, not because of me. Trust yourself. You don't owe anyone anything." Emily said.

Elliott beamed, "Emily, thank you! After you graduate, come back home with Kya. Move in with us. Let's be together forever."

Emily thought about her mother's attitude earlier and smiled faintly, "We'll see!"

Elliott nodded, "Go ahead, don't keep Mr. James waiting!"

"Alright, I'm off!" Emily waved and headed towards the elevator.

As she waited for the elevator, Elliott said, "Bring Kya when you get the chance! I haven't met her yet."

"She's been wanting to meet you guys." Emily's eyes sparkled with a tender smile as she mentioned Kya.

"I'm curious about her too. I wonder if she looked like you when you were young."

"You still remember what I looked like when I was little?"
