Find Me In Your Labyrinth novel Chapter 1211

"I'll tell Uncle Charlie that the reason why I held Mom back from going to work was because I wanted to see Grandma," Kya said with a frown.

Emily couldn't help but laugh, hugging Kya and whispering, "When did Kya become so sensible?"

"Because Kya wants to make Mom happy. If Mom doesn't like going to Grandma's, we won't go anymore!" Kya whispered back.

Emily choked up, Kya was really sharp, and she understood everything!

It was Saturday, and not many people were working overtime in the company. Emily took Kya on the private elevator straight to the 39th floor, not meeting anyone along the way.

Once on the 39th floor, Emily settled Kya in her office chair, then whispered, "I'm going to report to Uncle Charlie, you wait here for me, and don't run around."

Kya obediently nodded, "Go on Mom, don't make Uncle Charlie angry."

"Good girl!" Emily kissed Kya on the forehead and got up to leave. But as she turned around, Charlie was coming their way. The sight of him startled her, she froze in her tracks.

Charlie shot her a cold look, a smirk on his face. But in front of Kya, he didn't lose his temper. In fact, he looked rather pleased to see her, "Kya!"

His quick reaction surprised Emily.

Kya stretched out her arms for Charlie to pick her up.

Charlie picked her up, his long strides quickening, "Did you miss me?"

"Uh-huh!" Kya nodded, "I missed Uncle Charlie so much!"

Charlie looked at her affectionately, holding her gently, "I missed you too!"

"Then, for my sake, can you not be mad at my Mom?" Kya pouted, looking both cute and pitiful, "It's because I wanted to see Grandma, that's why Mom went!"

Charlie shot Emily another cold look, but quickly smiled again, "Fine, for your sake, I won't be mad at her."

Kya immediately smiled, showing her neat teeth.

Charlie tossed a file on the desk, shooting Emily a cold look, "Get the collaboration plan done. If you can't, don't think about leaving today. I'll take care of Kya."
