Find Me In Your Labyrinth novel Chapter 1305

Her emotions were on the low end, hidden deep within her heart. Only in the dead of night would she dare to bring them out for a taste, only to carefully tuck them back in, making sure no one was the wiser.

The next morning, Kya woke up and instinctively sought Emily. Instead, she found Charlie.

Instead of crying because her mom was absent, she crawled over to Charlie and cooed, “Uncle Charlie!”

Charlie opened his eyes as the first rays of morning light hit them. Seeing the adorably goofy little one in front of him, he couldn't help but smile. “Awake, are you?”

Kya sat up, her little feet together, grinning at him.

Charlie felt a wave of tenderness wash over him. He picked her up and held her close. “What's got you so cheerful?”

“Where's my mom?” Kya asked.

“You'll see your mom in a bit!” Charlie replied with a gentle smile.

Even though he knew Kya was Emily's child with another man and should harbor some resentment, he just couldn't bring himself to dislike Kya. In fact, he was quite smitten with her.

“I want to find my mom!” Kya giggled, trying to wriggle out of Charlie's hold to go find Emily.

“Easy there, Kya!” Charlie picked her up and hoisted her high.

Kya was laughing so hard that her eyes were squinting shut.

Emily knocked and entered, only to be momentarily stunned at the sight of the two playfully wrestling on the bed.

“Mom!” Kya excitedly called out to her.

Charlie got up, still holding Kya. Seeing Emily in a pastel pink nightgown, her hair falling just over her shoulders, looking picture perfect with the relaxed, lazy morning vibe, made his heart skip a beat.

“I'll take Kya to freshen up!” Charlie took Kya to the bathroom after a quick glance at Emily.
