The wedding limo and Elliott's groomsmen had arrived. Elliott rang Bonnie up, asking if she was ready.

Suddenly, Bonnie asked on the phone, "Elliott, spill the beans. Are Emily and Dr. Martin really a couple?"

Caught off guard, Elliott moved to a secluded spot and asked in a hushed voice, "Why'd you ask that?"

Bonnie sneered, "Don't pull my leg, Elliott. Emily's kid isn't Dr. Martin's, and they're not even married. I can't believe you lied to me!"

Frowning, Elliott asked, "Who told you this?"

"My aunt," Bonnie said. "Her husband works at South Hospital and knows Dr. Martin. My father was bragging that Emily's husband was Dr. Martin from South Hospital, only to be called out. How embarrassing!"

Elliott quickly apologized, "I didn't mean to fool you. Dr. Martin has been chasing Emily, but she hasn't said yes."

"What about Emily's kid?" Bonnie pressed.

Elliott was at a loss for words.

"Emily got pregnant abroad, didn’t she?" Bonnie scoffed, "You're crossing the line! I'll have you know, we're furious and considering calling the wedding off!"

"Don't be like that!" Elliott pleaded, "Family from both sides are here, guests are on their way to the venue. We can't just call it off on a whim. Besides, when your family needed help at South Hospital, it was Dr. Martin who stepped up, all because he cared about Emily. Have a word with Terry and Andrea. We didn't mean to trick you. It was just a coincidence."

After a lot of sweet talk from Elliott, Bonnie finally compromised, "Fine, the wedding is on. But I don't want a kid with a murky past to be my flower girl. The Ferber kids are here, I want them to be the flower kids."

"But," Elliott looked troubled, "I promised Emily. Kya has changed her clothes, she's all set to head to the venue. How am I supposed to explain this to Emily?"

"I don't care, the Sullivans have enough shame to deal with. If you bring in a mystery kid to be my flower girl, it'll make me sick. Can't I call the shots at my own wedding?"

Elliott was getting upset, "Kya isn't some random kid, she's Emily's daughter, my niece!"
