Xavier said with a grin, "You believe me now, don’t you?"

Norah's eyes twitched, "So you knew what I was thinking."

"You're just too suspicious!" Xavier mocked.

Norah still felt something was off.

"Stop overthinking. Nothing's happening today. When the rain stops, go home early." Xavier said and headed out.

"Where are you going?" Norah asked immediately.

"Out for a smoke!"

"It’s raining outside, don't forget your umbrella!" Norah said with concern.

"Got it!" Xavier replied and walked away without a backward glance.

Upstairs, Luisa had accomplished her goal. She pushed Zachary away and said with a blush, "I think Xavier and Norah just came up. They didn't see us, did they?"

Zachary only had eyes for Luisa and said with a goofy smile, "It's all good. They're our friends."

"What friends?" Luisa frowned, "I think Norah has something against me. She keeps targeting me."

"She probably misunderstood because you picked her flowers. Don’t sweat it; things will get better with time. Norah's a straight shooter." Zachary said with a laugh.

Luisa rolled her eyes, "I'll go downstairs and explain."
