Find Me In Your Labyrinth novel Chapter 195

Winnie would surely do her best to find the earrings, help Baldrick win Schilder's trust and affection, and she also wanted to help out Jonathan.

She didn't find out that Baldrick was injured until the afternoon – he had a head injury, and it was said that he'd been hit after tumbling down the stairs.

Thinking back to Jonathan visiting Baldrick in the morning and coming back with wine stains on his shirt, she felt there must be more to the story!

Had Jonathan and Baldrick had a falling out?

If so, she wanted to help Jonathan secure a partnership with Schilder even more.

In the evening, Jonathan called her to say he was going to the downtown for a bit and would be back later, telling her to eat dinner on her own.

Estelle sent a text that she'd be having dinner alone, then went upstairs to take a bath and sit on the balcony to read.

She kept thinking about the earrings, her mind wasn't on the book. After a short while, Henson Lamont and Hans Macclain invited her to join them in playing a game, so she did.

During the game, Henson mentioned going to a football match the next day and asked Estelle if she wanted to join.

Estelle casually replied, "I'm in C City, so I can't make it."

Henson was surprised, "C City? My Uncle Jonathan is in C City too."

Estelle felt a bit guilty but then calmly said, "Really? I'm here to visit my grandpa."

Henson responded with a simple "Oh," before being completely absorbed in the game, not asking any further questions.

Estelle couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief.

At 10 PM, Estelle told the two to go to bed and quit the game herself.

Hans sent a message, "Hey, sis, have you visited your adoptive grandpa yet? Our teacher organized a charity event for the elderly a few days ago, and I used my pocket money to buy clothes and supplements for the mountain area seniors. We still have a lot left. If you send me the address, I'll forward them to your grandpa."

Estelle had just returned to the Macclain family when Hans heard from his parents that she had been adopted by a poor rural family in C City. He assumed she could use these things.

Estelle knew Hans meant well, so she smiled and replied, "No need, I'll buy stuff for my grandpa. Thanks anyway, Hans!"
