Find Me In Your Labyrinth novel Chapter 215

"Hmm!" Charlie replied.

The flush toilet had already done its job automatically, so Emily didn't have to do anything. She helped him up and walked him back to bed. Once he was settled, she sighed and asked, "Do you need anything else?"

"I'm hungry!" Charlie said casually.

He'd only had a bowl of soup since morning, so of course he was hungry.

Emily thought this was easy to solve and asked, "What do you want to eat? I'll make it."

Charlie ordered some dishes, and Emily nodded, saying, "Alright, I'll make them. You just lie down and rest for a bit."

After she said that, she covered Charlie with a blanket and pulled the curtains in the room, dimming the light so he could rest properly.

Watching Emily bustling about, Charlie felt very peculiar.

Emily went to the kitchen, took out the ingredients, prepared a few more dishes since it was lunchtime.

Wearing an apron, she washed the vegetables, chopped them, gutted the fish... She worked efficiently and cleanly.

Because Charlie had a wound on his head, she deliberately made the dishes light on flavor. In less than an hour, she had four dishes ready and reheated the leftover soup from earlier.

When she returned to the master bedroom, Charlie was leaning against the headboard talking gently on the phone, "I'm on a business trip; it was a last-minute decision, so I didn't have time to tell you!"

"Good girl, I'll be with you when I get back. Just buy whatever you like, and put it all on my card!"

"Yeah, I love you too!"

Emily stood at the door, rolling her eyes. Why was Noreen crazy for this kind of guy? She should come and listen to this.
