As soon as Jonathan and Estelle left the Jarvis family, word that they had gotten the earrings reached Baldrick's ears.

Baldrick, who was lying in bed recuperating from his injuries, immediately sat up in disbelief, exclaiming, "How is that possible?"

Just yesterday, despite his head injury, he personally visited the Jarvis family with Winnie, but he didn't even get to see Old Mr. Jarvis.
