Find Me In Your Labyrinth novel Chapter 238

Estelle sensed danger, blinked, and immediately shook her head. "Of course not! I'll always be on my guard!"

Jonathan still felt uneasy. Always being on guard meant always having him on her mind, right?

Estelle didn't want to talk about Manley anymore, so she changed the subject. "Where did you come from?"

Jonathan replied unhappily, "What do you think?"

Estelle knew he had an important business meeting tonight, so she immediately let go of him and stepped back, saying, "You better hurry back. I'll be fine. Even if Manley calls me again, I won't go."

Before she could finish speaking, the man reached out and pulled her back into his arms, speaking softly, "It's pretty much done. I left the rest to Chuck, so I don't need to go back."

Estelle felt at ease staying in his arms, her heart settled.

After a moment of silence, Jonathan picked up Estelle, kissed her on the lips, and whispered, "Shall we go home?"

Estelle shook her head. "I still have to wait a bit longer."

She was here to work, and leaving early would create a bad impression on others.

Jonathan was a bit puzzled. "With your abilities, you could find a better part-time job. Why do you insist on staying here?"

Estelle didn't want to lie to him, but she couldn't tell the truth either, so she buried her head in his neck and muttered, "I want to find a part-time job that starts in the evening."

Jonathan frowned. "Why?"

"I have trouble getting up in the morning."

Jonathan was speechless.

Well, he could accept that reason. After all, her difficulty waking up was partly his fault!

The next day was Saturday, and as soon as Estelle got out of bed, she received a message from Emily asking her to come downstairs for breakfast.

Ten minutes later, Estelle went to knock on Emily's door.
